    It's Bush's fault.

The decision to bring a child into this world should be made only when the parents are physically, mentally and economically ready to take on the task. There should not be any mandates by the Government for employers, the government or anyone else to make a contribution. Of course , safety nets are in place for specific circumstances, but those situations should be the exception , not the norm.

And where should employers get that money ? Higher prices for goods and services? Less employees to cover the cost ? And what if only one parent is employed, does one still get " paid" leave ? How long before his agenda would be to add another entitlement courtesy of the taxpayer ?
My employer provides three months paid and covers half of adoption fees. Funny thing how conservatives only place value on 'life' before birth. An employer that values employees invests in them. The average tenure in my company is 18 years. I pay my company back with hard work and loyalty.

Perfect. So, your employer provided you with a benefit for working there, and you repay them with your hard work.

Nobody mandated it. And, you yourself admit you do something for it, you aren't entitled to it.

You actually just proved the point for the "other side". Welcome, it's not so bad once you realize how things really are.

The poster didn't prove anything other than the fact as an employer you have two choices. You can seek to provide benefits or you can treat your employees as consumables. As a consumer you can choose who you do business with. Those of us with morals avoid businesses that exploit the working class. Companies like Walmart are too stupid to realize that their business model is beginning to fail. If all businesses are required to provide leave what do you care. The costs will be spread across all businesses. Personally I am tired of the whining of small business owners. Nothing worse than listening to someone bitch and moan about the cost of employees with a $75,000 Mercedes parked out back. I can control where my disposable income goes and I resent that I have to pick up their tab for benefits they don't provide.

"Let’s look at what can we do as individuals and in education. There’s a line from one Shakespeare play, “First, kill all the lawyers.” That’s not what I’m recommending. It is: First, kill all the math classes beyond algebra. Stop wasting so much of our students’ time learning math. It’s not useful, it’s not helpful. Teach them more civics. In those civics classes, teach them history of liberalism, conservatism. Teach them ideological history. Get them prepared to treat these long intellectual traditions with respect.

Second, teach them statistics. Cut the calculus. Sure, if students want to take it, fine. But everybody should learn statistics. That actually helps you understand the data that’s coming in from the social sciences and other places. Even in high school, we can do a lot more to prepare our students for citizenship, not for 19th-century notions of an exercised brain that can do math and Greek.

In our universities, it would be nice if we could have more open and honest debate and be a little less sensitive about people claiming hurt feelings. Our universities should be places of debate and discussion. Our culture is so litigious and has fostered the idea that everybody has a right to not have their feelings hurt. This is a bad thing. This means we never get to talk with people who differ from us. We run away from such discussions. There’s a lot we could do to help our thinking.

But we need to all become more integratively complex to get better outcomes."
We should also cut biology and science and replace them with Christian ethics and intelligent design classes. Teaching evolution and pagan religions like Plato and Socrates are mortal sins.

I am fearful that the Rs may win the election. I listened to Rand Paul tonight. A year ago I thought he was completely crazy. Compared to the leading candidates at the moment he comes across as a totally normal and reasonable person. If you guys are going to win, can you at least pick someone who isn't completely out-of-his-mind crazy?

                  ***???

BOSTON – A Chinese national who facilitated the sale of nuclear technology to Iran will spend almost a decade in jail while his Iranian accomplice roams free as part of a deal between the governments of the United States and Iran.

Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts Patti B. Saris on Wednesday sentenced Sihai Cheng, who pleaded guilty last month to facilitating the sale of technology used to produced weapons-grade uranium to Iran, to nine years in federal prison.

The charges against Cheng’s accomplice, Iranian national Seyed Abolfazi Shahab Jamili, were dismissed last week at the request of the government.* In its motion seeking dismissal of the charges against Jamili, the government cited “significant foreign policy interests.”

Earlier this month, Reuters reported that the White House had announced clemency for seven Iranians who were convicted or facing trial in the United States as part of a prisoner exchange with Iran.* The Obama administration also removed Interpol detention requests and charges against 14 Iranians overseas. In exchange, Iran released five Americans detained in Iranian prisons.

"Nearly 70 per cent of Republican voters who don’t support Trump are telling pollsters that they “possibly” or “probably” won’t vote for him as president..... *Senator Clinton would be an eminently beatable candidate – widely distrusted, almost 70 years old, a boring speaker with a bad senatorial record and worse one as secretary of state – yet the Republicans seem about to select the one person who could make her look statesmanlike and almost likeable. Sensible Republicans should rue the day that Teddy Roosevelt ensured that popular primaries chose candidates rather than the old system of party bosses in smoke-filled rooms, who, if they had that power today would choose Marco Rubio or John Kasich or Jeb Bush, i.e. someone decent and sane, who moreover can win."

Let us all pray for you. God loves you. The 2nd amendment is the only one that matters.

But all of the Republican's say that God's law is more important than man's law and I agree. That is why I am voting for Ted Cruz. Jesus will be my co-pilot and virtual VP.

I can tell you are trolling, holy man. Which is too bad that liberals have to resort to such lengths and can't be honest.
