Good stuff.,I can assure you based on my own experience that the $30-$100 cost charged means PP did this at a loss.

The article mentions a tissue block for $500. I've acquired thise at similar costs but I walk over and pick it up.

For candidates to claim PP was "making a profit" on fetal tissue when it's unlikely they even recouped costs is true snake oil.

    Lying liars
"Making a profit"??? Even the anti-abortion groups concede that fetal tissue can be donated for research. What they did was show how it's done.

"I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps. We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
    - Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical research.*

    Even medical ethicists question that.

"I think the only relevant goal of an abortion clinic is to provide a safe and least risky abortion to a woman. If you’re starting to play with how it’s done, and when it’s done, other things than women’s health are coming into play. You’re making a huge mountain of conflict of interest around a period for many people is morally difficult.”
    - Arthur Caplan, director of New York University’s Division of Medical Ethics.*

Even Cecile Richards sees the callousness of Nucatola's comment.

"Our top priority is the compassionate care that we provide. In the video, one of our staff members speaks in a way that does not reflect that compassion. This is unacceptable and I personally apologize for the staff member’s tone and statements.”*

Fact. Planned parenthood and no one else engages in the "sale of fetuses" you may not know this as you may uncritically believe what you are told by the nutters. That's the point. Repeat a million times that planned parenthood sells fetuses and some start to believe it. Remeber the bigger the lie.....the right always knew that.

But these indictments are really helping. More shoes to drop I'm sure.

      Tee hee

The right just can't stir outrage without consequence like it used to.
Here is a link to a NY Times article stating that PP will "no longer" sell fetal tissue. Which means that they did. And any need to remind everyone where the NY Times typically stands on this issue? Again, no one from PP is celebrating that this issue continues to dog them.

Callous is dumping fetal remains in landfills. Do you think the women who chose to have abortions are OK with that?

"We understand that the details of legal abortions are, by their nature, gruesome. We also understand that research using fetal tissue has led to medical breakthroughs in the treatment of various diseases .But a culture cannot begin to tolerate dispassionate talk about which parts of a fetus to crush in order to preserve hearts, lungs, livers and heads, because of their market demand, without losing an important part of its humanity."

But liberals are OK with it.

Sorry but I don't believe a fetus is a life until quickening. If someone is not comfortable with what happens to the fetus then perhaps they should rethink their choice. That being said as a man none of this is really my business and I really don't care what happens at PP.....

Callous is the taking of a beating heat. Callous is cutting open the face of an aborted fetus whose heart is still beating to take the brain.

"In an undercover video released Wednesday, a former technician for a tissue-harvesting company details how an aborted baby was kept alive so that its heart could be harvested at a California*Planned Parenthood*facility, raising more legal questions about the group’s practices.Holly O'Donnell, a former blood and tissue procurement technician for the biotech startup*StemExprss. And I can’t even describe what that feels like,” said Ms. O’Donnell, who has been featured in earlier videos by the Center for*Medical Progress, a pro-life group that previously had released six undercover clips involving*Planned Parenthood*personnel and practices."

I am pro-choice and make no apologies for it - abortion is legal and the courts and majority of the public have decided what the parameters are. Perhaps you should try to get a social security number for a fetus and deduct it from your taxes. As you have likely stated before - if you don't like the law and SCOTUS decision try to get it changed.

You are a typical white conservative male in that you think you should have control over women's bodies.

Amazing how you will defend the 2nd amendment to the hilt but conveniently decide which other portions of the rule of law you will observe.

Amazing how a Liberal can be against the Death Penalty for the most heinous crimes, but that small beating heart of a fetus is fair game. Astounding.

                      Gallup

May 29, 2015 - Americans divide 50% "pro-choice," 44% "pro-life" on abortion; Majority of women, 54%, now pro-choice, vs. ... likely to be pro-choice today, while the percentage of young adults who identify with the term is about the same.

But probably according to you Gallup is not very experienced and reliable in terms of polling. Facts are stubborn things aren't they.

I am against the death penalty as it has been used disproportionately against blacks and based upon unreliable eye witness testimony. Life in prison is fine as it can be reversed upon appeal. You are comparing apples and oranges.

OMG, It is a POLL. A POLL is not evidence.

" likely to be pro-choice today " From what, your crystal ball ?

It is a good analogy . You have a living breathing fetus and a living breathing convicted rapist / murderer. You favor the convicted criminal lives and the fetus dies. It is all about choice right ?

                          Here is my 2 cents.....

I believe a women should always have a choice, it is her body. That includes having unprotected sex. If a women gets pregnant have unprotected sex, isn't that a consequence and not a choice? That said, if she gets pregnant by being raped - to me she didn't have a choice and can do what ever she wants. If there is a medical problem - she didn't have a choice, she can do what she wants.
So maybe I am somewhere in the middle.

There is a huge difference to me between consequence and choice!

When you have had a family as a victim of a capital crime get back to me. I have. Death would have been easy for the killer. I love the fact that 19 years after the murder he is still in jail and at age 39 I hope he has a nice long life. Like most liberals I understand that we have a justice system and not a punishment system. The problem with dinosaurs is that they cannot see their demise. Ever serve as a Juror in a murder case ? Weeks and weeks of graphic testimony, unbelievable photos on the projection screen ? Day after day seeing the relatives and friends seeking justice for the loss of their loved one ? Seeing the piece of garbage sitting in his chair, getting a warm bed and meals each day ? Smirking , not that all bent out of shape that he took an innocent life ? Not an ounce of compassion. Sure, let him live, but kill an innocent fetus unable to speak for THEIR rights. At least Pro Lifers are speaking for them.

I have. And I personally know someone that is still rotting in jail 47 years after murdering a 9 year old girl. He should have been hung the next day.

But they let him live, and some years later HE MURDERED again.

That's real dinosaur . When there is no punishment, there is no system.
