I understand how impeachment works do you understand what happens in off year elections? So don't be too sure president elect trump won't be facing a hostile house and senate in 2 years. Impeachment can move forward swimmingly at that time.

One person one vote -'we won't be deciding this here but you will be hearing a lot about it next couple years. Half the states necessary (13 by mat count) have already made changes that will render electoral college inoperative as soon as there are 12 more. Nothing DC can do about it. Read up and educate yourselves about that. It's all about state control / rights and thy have a lot of latitude.

You believe in checks and balances - right? That's what the electoral college process is designed to account for. A system where the needs/wants of one geographic location with a concentrated population cannot be allowed to have the only say in the direction of the entire country.
You are suggesting that each and everyone's vote should count equally. If you go by popular vote then the urban areas will dictate everything. That would make the rest of the countries votes meaningless. You think there is a divide in this country now???

Nobody is saying that this process is perfect, but to date, it's the best one that's ever been attempted. What makes it great is that there are ways for it to evolve. If you get enough states that wish to change it, as you suggest, then it will likely be changed. That will create a whole new set of problems and the process will again need to evolve.

This is all part of the trending attitude of the modern Progressive . Those monuments to Civil War figures, take them down, those streets and parks named after " racists" " bigots" and the like, change their name. That artwork depicting slaves, Native Americans, smash it all, rip it down. The buildings named after people from the past that Progressives don't agree with, erase the names form the History Books. Get God off of anything and everything....
