    The percentage of American that own a home is at a 49 year low.

    There, I kept it to one sentence so it is under the time limit of concentration required for Progressives.

      Progressives fail to grasp the difference in an economy that promotes speculative investment and possible ruin versus the past time proven method of saving. That is one of the principal reasons consumer spending is so flat. In the past, savers could take money from their savings and spend it as needed. Today's " new normal" is the investment in the stock market and long term retirement vehicles that are not liquid enough for that purpose.

      In addition there is strong evidence that the stock market is manipulated by the Government. This has been going for quite some time, but with Obama it has accelerated.

      And hey, where's the Solar Guy ? Solar City is showing quite a loss, in the billions of dollars. That sure isn't a good sign for all those " green jobs " that Progressives keep promising. Musk is trying to hoodwink investors for more debt to combine it with Tesla. Looks like he pulled some fast maneuvers a few weeks ago to line his pocket first.
      you are out of touch.

      please refute all the hard data here and tell us why bloomberg business analysis is all wet.

          Prove thats bad.

          the healthiest european economies have lower rates, worse economies higher

          germany = 46%

          switrzerland = 37% (weren't the cons just holding switzerland up as a paradigm)

          Slovakia = 86%

          further, we have to agree that the mortgage interest deduction is an example of welfare........I am a home owner and use it of course but understand that it is really a special interest issue that needs to be resolved.

          got it? PROVE THIS is bad, don't expect thinking people to just jerk their knees as themselves

          you just don't have the mental flexibility to entertain advanced notions like that

            thanks for the compliment.

            just saw data showing that the average american attention span has dropped from 12 s in the year 2000 to 8 s in 2013, probably due to rise of digital media.

            so as Ive always known I have superior attention span and focus compared to a serf like you

              Right. Thats why we nominated someone fiscally responsible (I do recall clint administration last to present balanced budget and run surplus, yes?) vs the party that nominated someone who engages in speculative investment as a business strategy even though it led to 4 bankruptcies.

              Want to keep going or do you need more of a beating? Cant make it up. Party of trump complaining about speculative investment ruining country.

              Cognitive dissonance much?

                    oh snap....the white home grown terrorists are at it again.....

                    A Utah militia leader with ties to the militant killed during the Bundy-led armed standoff in Oregon was charged Wednesday with allegedly trying to detonate homemade bombs at a Bureau of Land Management building in Arizona to escalate a decades-old struggle over public lands.

                    According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Utah, William Keebler, 57, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with attempting to use explosives to destroy property owned by the federal government and managed by the Department of Interior agency.
                    FBI agents infiltrated Keebler’s Patriots Defense Force militia group, where members trained to go “on the offensive” with their “anti-government action,” according to the complaint. The document alleges Keebler scouted a Bureau of Land Management office building near the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City as a potential target, but decided not to move forward because of commercial activity and homeless persons in the area.

                    He instead set his sights on a BLM building in Mount Trumbull, Arizona, an area the complaint alleges he chose for its “middle of nowhere” location.

                    "Keebler made it clear he didn't plan on blowing people up for now, but he wanted his group to be prepared to escalate things, and take people out if necessary,” the complaint read.

                    The spot also had multiple ties to the anti-government land rights movement. Mount Trumbull was a town founded in the early 1900s by Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s great-grandfather, a Mormon settler in the area, and is near the publicly owned land where self-styled militiaman LaVoy Finicum’s cattle still graze, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

                    The complaint alleged Keebler surveyed the locale in October 2015 with Finicum, who was killed in January when he refused to surrender to law enforcement at a roadway police checkpoint during the militants’ armed occupation of a rural Oregon wildlife refuge. Keebler had earlier tasked undercover agents with assembling two bombs for the operation, the complaint alleged, one to to be placed at the BLM cabins and another to be used on law enforcement if they were stopped.

                    Late Saturday evening, an inert explosive device was positioned at the door of one of the BLM’s cabins in Mount Trumbull. Once it was in place, Keebler was handed a detonation device and allegedly pushed the button to detonate the explosives multiple times. He then returned to Utah, where he was arrested Wednesday.

                        I guess that was the only post you had the stones to respond to since you could feign it substance-free.

                        what should we do about those white terrorists and their bombs? Shouldn't the wailing and gnashing of teeth on the right start in 3....2.....1.....until we strip those ANIMALS of all rights so that we can get em all sooner?

                          Lock them up. What they did was clearly illegal. Not a difficult question. Next?

                                Question for any Prog out there. Are you, and do you believe, your party to be perfect? Above reproach, 100% in tune with no dissent?

                                I mean that wholeheartedly. As a right of center, I see major problems with the Republican party. I am willing to admit it, and and hoping for an imbalance of good over the bad. I have my questions. To be clear, I don't defend violence, no matter the race or religion. Seems others agree.

                                Is there a single time where you've read or heard someone "progressive" and said "nope, I don't agree with that."?
