Alinsky biographer, Sanford D. Horwitt's book "Let Them Call Me Rebel":

“…in the spring of 1972, at Tulane University…students asked Alinsky to help plan a protest of a scheduled speech by George H. W. Bush, then U.S. representative to the United Nations – a speech likely to include a defense of the Nixon administration’s Vietnam War policies. The students told Alinsky they were thinking about picketing or disrupting Bush’s address. That’s the wrong approach, he rejoined, not very creative – and besides causing a disruption might get them thrown out of school. He told them, instead, to go to hear the speech dressed as members of the Ku Klux Klan, and whenever Bush said something in defense of the Vietnam War, they should cheer and wave placards reading, ‘The KKK supports Bush.’ And that is what they did, with very successful, attention-getting results.”

The left's entire structure is based on a lies bent on manipulating the people. Their puppet organizations, such as Move On, ACORN, SEIU, and a host of others, all are based on spreading lies, chaos, deception, and intimidation.

I have no problem at all unless the money is misspent or mismanaged and there is plenty of that in the military that must be addressed.

There is absolutely no guilt associated with being truthful about history. The problem with you nutters is that you have rose colored glasses when viewing the past. The reality is that the first 200 years of this nation were bloody and unpleasant. Despite your nostalgia for the past we have made a lot of progress in the last 40 years.

North Carolina is now finding itself in a potential massive quagmire due to its pandering to a small number of fundamentalist whackjobs. I pointed out earlier that their new anti-gay legislation was a violation of the Civil Rights act and you scoffed. Well sir - you were wrong. Let's see how quickly NC folds when they realize that they will use $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lots of federal funds..... Cruz's weak showing during the primaries is proof that the final nail in the coffin is being driven into the conservative world.
Your problem is that you rely upon the recorded history but weren't actually there at the time to put the behavior of the people in context. History , as it is written, is an opinion. Facts are what actually happened, and in the case of recorded history, bias and intent are widespread. In your mind the " truth" ,is your opinion of behavior based on the perspective of the 21st Century.
The " guilt" is evident throughout, with the constant attempt by Progressives by meddling in affairs , seeking " social justice" for the perceived errors and sins of the past. We see it almost on a daily basis now, with the questioning of statues , monuments , buildings, even street names. Modern day Progressives are quick to undermine what those in the past who erected the statues , and built the monuments and built the roads. They see them as unimportant, as they now know better.

I see the first 200 years as a miracle. I see all the good that was, and has been accomplished. I see the creation of a society with the highest standard of living for the highest percentage of citizens. I don't concentrate . like a Progressive, on fodder for hand wringing. That's the big difference. Progress over the past 40 years ? in some ways , yes, in others, not so much. The failures , in the majority of circumstances, appear to be the handiwork of Progressives.

And you know, I really don’t even know what I mean, because that was a long time ago, and who knows what was in my head. I think that it wasn’t done correctly. In retrospect, it shouldn’t have been done at all. It was sort of, you know, it was just done. It was just, we dropped bombs. Now if you look back, actually, that was probably the correct way of doing it, not going in, and not upsetting, giving them a lesson or not. I mean, I think Senior actually did a pretty good job of what he was doing. He went in, he taught them a lesson. What happened is he was taunted. Because Saddam Hussein was saying, “We drove back the Americans. The ugly Americans were driven back, the power of Iraq, the power.”
You guys still don't get it. You can mock him all you want, but it has yet made a difference in the popularity of Donald Trump. Maybe you might want to try a different approach. Clinton is in for a tough, no holds bar campaign. She is already in trouble. It's only going to get worse. No matter which one of these candidates wins, this country will remain divided and Washington dysfunctional. Our only hope is that a third party candidate will emerge that can change the course.

Life expectancy for poorly educated Americans is dropping because of the destruction of the middle class . The jobs are leaving , the opportunities are scarce. Non College Grads are being hit the hardest. We have been in a transitional economy, different from the past. We were able to move from Agriculture to factories because of the Industrial Revolution. Now that countries like China are having their " industrial Revolution" , and with the increase of technology, there isn't the large pool of jobs here in America that workers can migrate to. The Progressive answer, just raise wages to $ 15 a hour. Nice of them after their open border, global trade, UN Kool Aid drinking criminal friends agenda . Add to it their social justice financial meddling , that is still happening today, and we can see the results.

They aren't done yet. Progressives would like to hijack as much $$ as they can from America in the name of " Climate Change " . All the criminals in the UN are lined up with their hands out for this one.

Yawn! The bathroom business was started by liberals. They just can't leave well enough alone. As the question was asked previously and has yet to be answered, have transgenders been forced out of any bathroom of their choice in the past?

And btw the birther stuff was started during the 2008 PRIMARY campaign, not by Republicans, but by Democrats.

Politico, April 22, 2011: The answer lies in Democratic, not Republican politics, and in the bitter, exhausting spring of 2008. At the time, the Democratic presidential primary was slipping away from Hillary Clinton and some of her most passionate supporters grasped for something, anything that would deal a final reversal to Barack Obama.

For the most part, Trump is spending his own money.
Hillary ? Not so much. Remember, she was " dead broke" not too long ago. Why would Wall Street pay handsomely to hear from a person that was " dead broke " ?

Well then talk to the Democrats. Talk to Obama, he gave them quite a bundle out of that trillion dollar stimulus.

That's a slam on the military.

And in fact, much of the technology filters out of military operations to the private sector.

So I am telling you that it is essential that we fund our military to provide the very best weapons and equipment to help them do their job and return home alive and well.

What a hypocrite. Pulls out the sympathy card boasting of family military members, than complains about the amount of money spent on them. Do you tell your relatives that they should go back to six shooters and rations from a dented can ?
Wrong again. Let me SPELL IT OUT. I am okay with DARPA. I actually have been to their HQ and have worked with them on joint commercial/military technology application grants. I used DARPA funds to develop a prototype electric bus back in the early 90s. But in order NOT to be hypocritical I cannot criticize using federal funds to support solar development (which also has significant military applications.........) and not criticize DARPA. I support both. Maybe you don't realize it but green technology is of great interest to the military. Not only for deployments of men and material to areas where there is no infrastructure but they are trying to be more environmentally aware. Try not to let your biases get in the way of common sense. Otherwise you come across as intellectually deficient.
