Do you disagree that eliminating the new tariffs would help our economy? If not, why?

I agree we need to have a portion of highly critical good produced here, and those plants need to have contingency plans to quickly ramp up to produce more for any future crisis. Obviously there is no doubt that we need a better management system of our stockpiles of critical supplies. But isolating ourselves from the rest of the world isn't a long term solution.

More mental illness in a time of crisis
"A train engineer told police in Los Angeles that he intentionally crashed a train at high speed near the USNS Mercy hospital ship in what seems to be a bizarre attempt to expose a perceived conspiracy.
Eduardo Moreno said he doesn't believe "the ship is what they say it's for," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles."

1) prior presidents all continued to allow manufacturing to go overseas (not TRUMP, this was his #1 campaign issue 3+ years ago, he bring many back already, still working on it.
2) please explain how you came up with 75%. (please don't tell us you pulled this # out of your _ss).
3) and being a doctor or lawyer pays better than a tech job so what is the point you are trying to make?
4) who said anything about isolating ourselves (besides you)? America and its citizens should always come first, always for ever and ever. If there is anything left over the other countries can bid for any surplus goods and materials we may have.
DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ARGUING ABOUT?

While Trump was being warned by his experts as early as December that this would happen, Trump downplayed it for months and failed to take action besides prohibiting China entry. That was a good thing he did. He was right. But that addressed part of the problem. The big parts, the one about taking preventative measures, warning the rest of the country and beginning to nationalize the effort, he failed at miserably. We are all suffering.
You fail to admit this. Trump fails to admit this. Trump lies about his response daily and tries the change history. If he believed what he did was correct he would own it. But he doesn't. He says he took action that he never did. He said he had no warning. He said "who would have known"? All of those things are lies. Cultists think differently. They praise Trump for the lies and start touting them as true. Like what you're doing.
Understand?
China delayed much longer than that.
But, as a poster mentioned last evening:

But, I guess we should only hold the hate and retribution for China. Our own country? Attack away. Shameless. "Never let a good crisis go to waste", right?

This is pretty rich coming from Mr. Benghazi. How many committees? How long did it go? Over a few unfortunate and terrible lost American lives? Trump says over 100,000 will be lost. How many could have been saved if our administration reacted differently? Can't wait for those investigations.

Absolute embarrassment of a citizen of this country. We have the experts, not the TS blowhards, saying he's listening to their advice and doing what we should.
It's just so sad how no matter what the issue, you will argue the opposite.
I am not blaming anyone. I am dealing with the situation at hand. I'm not offering up praise for a country who completely fvcked this up from Day 1. You think it's OK to hold back on "hate and retribution" on another country, but won't for your own.
Shameful.

Governor Gavin Newsom D (CA):
"This is not the time to bicker. I don't care who's up and down, whose polls are looking better than someone else's or who wants to run for president or who doesn't. When it comes to times of crisis, we need to [rise] above the partisanship and I've extended always an open hand, not a closed fist, in those circumstances. And this is no different," Newsom told Tapper.
"But let me just be candid with you. I’d be lying to you to say that he hasn’t been responsive to our needs. He has," the governor continued. "And so, as a question, as a sort of an offer of objectivity, I have to acknowledge that publicly."
Newsom continued: "And the fact is every time I've called the president, he's quickly gotten on the line. [...] Those are the facts."
"We always want more, I can criticize this or that, at the end of the day, we're just trying to focus on developing a relationship of trust as a matter of course because there [are] just too many Americans, 40 million that live in this state that deserve us to get together and get along," he added.

I have a cousin in a purple state ....non college ....worked for almost 40 yrs but couldn’t keep
Delivering to small stores when his body broke. Just got rehired and working months for 70% what he once did but after fighting off depression etc
His job is gone ....not enough quarters to sign up.
So f*** you every time you idly declare that Libs don’t care. Both my kids are nervous as hell that their jobs will dry up. That you casually declare “Libs don’t care” means you live in some crazy place if not a troll farm someplace like St. Petersburg
F*** off you anti life anti American degenerate
