Legit conspiracy theory, I know. But, I've watched enough Movie/TV Dramas where an evil person has secured a pathogen to wipe out half the planet, only to be saved by some guy wearing a cape of some color (or with a roll of duct tape and a Leatherman; or a few federal agents who charge into buildings wearing nothing but designer clothes and carrying a Sig)....sorry, lost my train of thought.

Oh, yeah, so anyway...my wife turns to me last night and said "With the trade war going on with China, any chance this entire event is intentional? Like, they released this virus, tank our stock market and financial institutions here and in Europe, buy up our companies for pennies on the dollar, merge these companies into Chinese entities, and it's part of the plan to rule the world?"

Scary thought.

No nation would take a naturally occurring virus and first infect their own population because you don’t know how a population responds and you obviously might destroy your own country before it even spreads to the nemesis country.

Here’s what this Lib is going to do with any check I am sent. I will spend it - thats important . Checks are being sent to keep some movement in economy. When I buy I won’t think about what I need. We ok for a little. I’ll spend and send instead to kids and friends cooped with fewer options than us. Once their basic needs are met I’m putting it into things that will pay benefits for others. Hoping for a MUCH bigger garden this year and that I can just leave lots of extra produce for neighbors.

So yeah ....that’s how this typical lib will deal with that check.

Ummm...I'm a liberal and I was the one who posted that. It was just a conversation piece, nothing more. That being said, I wouldn't put anything past China to get back at Trump for how he handled the trade agreements.

During the Civil War on many occasions the North pointed cannons into the battle field where northern and southern soldiers alike were killed (it was basic math, the north had way more soldiers to spare).

I’ve posted here a long time. This is a serious question. I’m cynical too but I assure you this is a naturally occurring virus.

If you want something to be paranoid about, I gently suggest that you reflect on this challenge where we actually have a chance to bend the curve. Imagine thiufh this WAS a bioterror attack .That would bring max illness very quickly and our lack of preparedness would be cataclysmic wouldn’t it.

Perhaps that will convince you we need to spend a lot of defense budget preparing for that (as us scientists have said for years). BONUS: if we can defend against bio terror , sams resources save us from naturally occurring threats
