        Is anyone surprised? Not me.

        Liberals = hypocrites

Brockton, Mass., is known as the birthplace of boxing legend Rocky Marciano. But with U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren pushing for a $1 billion Native American casino less than 20 miles away, struggling blue-collar Brockton's competing casino bid might not stand a fighting chance.

Brockton Mayor William Carpenter slammed Warren’s bill on behalf of the Masphee Wampanoag tribe, which would override a federal judge's decision last year to block the tribe’s plan for a luxury gaming resort in East Taunton.

He says Warren seems to be acting on behalf of special interests instead of people like Brockton's struggling residents.

“Year after year we’re running multimillion-dollar deficits in our budget. We’ve laid off schoolteachers for three years in a row,” Carpenter told the Washington Times. “We desperately need the revenue."

            Dershowitz

“Look, I was born provocative. That’s why I was a successful teacher. My job is to provoke conversation,’’ he said, commenting on the backlash to his defense of Trump. “Maybe I didn’t realize enough how emotionally people are invested in opposing Trump.

“I was talking to their minds and I probably wasn’t sufficiently in tune to their heart and soul and emotions,’’ he said. “I’ve lived a contentious life all of my life and this is the first time that this kind of contentious approach has had such a profound impact on friendships and personal relationships.’’

But Dershowitz has been steadfast in his belief that Trump did not obstruct justice when he fired FBI Director James Comey — he was “merely exercising his authority’’ — and shouldn’t be impeached. Predictably, that assessment has upset some of the legal scholar’s longtime friends on the Vineyard — a liberal enclave far friendlier to Trump’s predecessor — and Dershowitz has lamented that a few of his left-leaning pals had shunned him for his views on Trump.

ecurity proved unnecessary. Even if few agreed with Dershowitz — and it was clear from their questions that some in the audience did not — everyone was civil as the former law professor explained his defense of a president even he abhors. Dershowitz, who said he voted for Hillary Clinton and contributed, along with his wife, over $10,000 to her campaign, said he opposes pretty much everything Trump has done so far.

“So it’s a great challenge for me to make constitutional arguments that have the effect of helping somebody with whom I so strongly disagree,’’ said Dershowitz, adding that he’s never voted for a Republican in a national election and only one — William Weld for Massachusetts governor — in a state election.

What I personally find interesting is here is a man who knows the law, isn't a fan of Trump at all, yet can still be clear-thinking enough to understand how to separate emotion from critical thinking. Yet, the comment soon to follow this will instead be that's he's old and out of touch. Which is both sad, and weak.

Hey TMan, instead of some nobody partisan from Texas, how 'bout the opinion of this guy?

Just Like Obama, Trump’s Russia Policy Speaks Louder Than His Words

Some may expect me to lend my voice to this chorus of condemnation. After all, I have personally experienced the devastating consequences of Putin’s expansionism. In 2008, when I was the president of Georgia, Russia shocked the world by invading my country. To this day, one-fifth of Georgia’s territory remains under illegal Russian occupation, and Georgia lacks a clear roadmap to NATO membership.

The Helsinki summit did not change my view of the Russian president. As I have reiterated many times, Putin is pure evil. There is no doubt in my mind that U.S. intelligence agencies arrived at the correct conclusion: Russia did meddle in the U.S. 2016 election, and Putin himself directed the operation. Again, I speak from personal experience on this topic.

My opinion of President Trump’s policy vis-à-vis Russia is perhaps more positive than one might assume from my background. My reasoning is two-fold: After a lifetime of firsthand experience with Russian aggression, I must evaluate Trump’s actions against the proper historical context. In doing so, I have found that Trump’s actions speak for themselves....

Actually there a quite a few true liberals coming out of the closet because of Trump. All of which have pretty much said the same, they are not supporters of the man, but they feel the need to speak out against what is going on in this country today, especially in regards to the media.

As well they should. Spending all their energy trying to silence someone because you disagree with them all the while invoking facism as the reason is, actually, facism.

A few of my best friends are liberals. Some more are conservatives. All get along, because none of them hate.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it has received 87 pages of records from the Department of Justice revealing former top FBI official Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page’s profanity-laced disdain for FBI hierarchy and policies. The DOJ, meanwhile, is resisting Judicial Watch’s request for a court order to preserve all responsive Page-Strzok communications.

“Judicial Watch is in court successfully getting Strzok-Page documents thus far denied to Congress,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Yet the Justice Department is stonewalling and even protecting Strzok and Page by battling our request for preservation order to ensure that no government documents are destroyed.”

I do believe, way back when, the whole political dialog of the soccer community started with Obamacare being shoved down our throats.

Obamacare is responsible for the problems of Obamacare markets: rising costs, undesirable plans and declining choice.

The problems have been evident since day one. In 2014, insurance premiums exploded by an average of 49 percent. From 2013 to 2017, they increased by 105 percent in the individual markets, while deductibles exploded.

Take coverage. The Congressional Budget Office predicted that by 2019, 24 million persons would enroll in the exchanges, but this year only 12 million did. Enrollment started to decline, under President Barack Obama, in 2016. The mandate penalties were increasing, but enrollment was decreasing.

Or take choice. Between 2013 and 2018, the number of insurers in the individual markets declined from 395 to 181. Today, exchange enrollees in 52 percent of the nation’s counties have only one insurer. Meanwhile, plans have narrow provider networks of doctors and specialists, thus reducing patient access — a phenomenon first noted by the CBO in 2014.

President Trump is proposing to expand choices. He would allow small businesses and their workers to join together more easily in association health plans. He would expand health reimbursement accounts to pay insurance premiums tax free, and allow persons to sign up for short-term health plans for a year, rather than just three months, a blessed relief for those who are between jobs.

These alternatives will reduce consumers’ premium costs, expand insurance coverage, and allow people to choose what they like, instead of what Washington forces them to have.

President Trump isn’t forcing anyone to do or to buy anything. If you like your Obamacare plan, you can keep it. For those who want better choices than those on Obamacare’s sinking ship, President Trump is providing the lifeboats until Congress can finish the job.

The House on Wednesday adopted a resolution expressing support for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and rejecting calls to abolish the agency. The final vote was 244-35, with 133 Democrats voting present.

Gutless! All talk.....if there is microphone or TV camera in the vicinity, there is a stampede.

But when it comes down to putting the stones on the line...."present". Laughable.
