Not really fans of their musical style, although Beyonce has a fabulous voice. I don't value their political opinion, however, as it's a bit disconnected from many people's day to day lives. In fact, I don't value many opinions from those who aren't living what they are commenting on. Seems odd to throw so much effort using them to reach out to the common folk, but I'm no politician. Either way, certainly entitled to their opinion.

"City" residents? Hmmm...I couldn't live in a city myself. Funny story....A few years back I was hosting a party after our 15-year HS reunion. It had a few dozen acres way out of town. Anyhoo, we are having a bonfire and the husband of a classmate was amazed what it was like. Basically, I told him...yell as loud as you can....nobody can hear you. Huge fire, 75 people or so, ripping it up and nobody to bother us. He loved it. But, I said...want to grab a few beers? 15 minute drive into town. He had a store literally 50 steps from his building. So, it's a trade off. He was less enamored with it after. City folk...

As for lighting myself on fire, I don't think that's a particularly helpful tactic. Plus, I don't love the heat. More of a fall/winter guy myself. But, interestingly, as I've got a bit older I can see the lure of a warmer climate. We'll see. But, no, I don't think it would be so warm as to actually be on fire. Seems too hot for me.

Whoever sent it does not make a threat to you or your family, they simply are supplying commentary on the violence that occurs in some neighborhoods. It further suggests that if your home was ever invaded that you might want your gun toting neighbor to be on your good side.
