It’s about youth soccer. A lot of college coaches are looking internationally for players for good reason. Internationally FIFA allows for fair and open competition at the Academy level. We suppress competition in the US through politics, and we have accepted this substandard system.

Purely performance based. do you remember how that went?

Over the years it is amazing how many leagues have folded or get severely damaged by someone over at select just looking out for herself.

Ha, ha….. Select is far from a powerhouse and they are not getting accepted into the ECNL. Let’s keep it real too with the virtual call ups as it was on-line and not live and on the field. A lot of this is politics too. Select, Stars and NEFC are all strong teams and are the top three in Massachusetts. Keep the focus on development and progression yearly and Don’t get caught up in the BS as both leagues are heavily recruited at their national showcases …. Check out the lists.
