I deeply resent this sentiment! The BYU women’s soccer team reached the NCAA national championship game, playing against Florida State University, in early December 2021. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, December 5, but was moved to Monday, December 6, to accommodate BYU’s “No Sunday play” policy. As detailed by Newsroom, two players from the 2021 roster are moving on to play professionally, and five players from the team are stepping away from the soccer field to serve full-time missions.

Let me give you a word from experience. The better (elite) NE players want nothing to do with staying in the NE playing for local colleges. What’s the benefit?

Too much corruption in Boston area for LDS kids. 6 pack of rambling root beer when no one is looking

So that mommy and daddy can go see them play just like in youth soccer. Don’t grow up on me!

Yup he's a yawner. Have a bevy of talented high & wides, 6 footers that would be super successful on a 140 yard field. Limited coach.

OK I'm busted on this one. I'm glad my kid goes to a relatively local school and I go to every one of her games. I love her, I love the game and I will miss it when she's done with it.

                  Your slam hurt! :-) :-) :-)

I am with you and your sentiments as is most parents who have watched their kid evolve as a student-athlete. My kid wanting nothing to do with staying local and wanted to live in a new region. Can you blame them?

I always say the path is theirs and my idea of college may not be what theirs is. School size, location, architecture, etc. are all their own journey. Mine always said she wanted to get as far away as possible, but when it came down to recruiting her mindset shifting. Lots of factors to consider.
