the political science that exclaims Cases are Skyrocketing, and Kids are Super-Spreaders
or the data-backed science. There is no shortage of data showing outdoor transmission is nearly non-existent, that youth sports haven't been identified as risky, that clusters associated with sports teams have not emerged as anything significant, and that plane travel is safer than going to the grocery store.
Now, if I act like a jackass and drive 75 miles to a beachside bar (the equivalent of driving across two state into ME if I were in Boston) with all the other parents on our team so we can spend the night drinking and singing Only the Good Die Young, then yeah, I am selfish and irresponsible. Otherwise, please show me the science that says anything about flying to play soccer, and wearing masks responsibly on the sidelines and in the lobby introduces risk beyond that which we already accept in our everyday lives right here at home.

The travel goes against the current guidance of public health experts PLEADING with people to NOT travel right now. You clearly intend to ignore that guidance but that does not mean the guidance does not exist.
from the nyt today........warnings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which has urged people not to travel as Covid-19 cases continue to rise. The agency issued an advisory this month that “postponing travel and staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others.” It added, “you and your travel companions (including children) may feel well and not have any symptoms, but you can still spread Covid-19 to family, friends, and community after travel.” warnings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which has urged people not to travel as Covid-19 cases continue to rise. I always consider the guidance of experts (e.g. my financial advisor, boss, colleagues, neighbors, my tennis partner, my wife) and ultimately make my own decisions. Seminole Soccer Park here we come.

This mess has resulted in wild spread and an uncontrolled pandemic with hundreds of thousands dead. This is what we have now.

We have just done a truly terrible job of fighting theis virus:
From an researcher at U. Penn:
"The rate of COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. since June 7 is 27.2 per 100,000 people. In contrast, in Italy, the death rate is down to 3.1 per 100,000.
"It's not like Italy has some secret medicine that we don't," Emmanuel says. "They've got the same public health measures we've got. They just implemented them effectively and we implemented them poorly." If the U.S. had managed to keep its per capita death rate at the level of Italy's, 79,120 fewer Americans would have died."

IMO Mass mounted a well above average fight and does not want you even out of your house at night. But you will choose what you choose and we will agree to disagree.

NYT article from March (link below) shared model from renowned scientists with four scenarios estimating US deaths from 200K to 1.7M. A ten point scale that starts with the worst case scenario of 1.7M deaths getting a Zero (0) incrementing 1 point for every 150K ending with a 10 given for realizing the best case scenario of 200K. Using this scale US Deaths of 350K would receive a score of 9. US current death toll is just over 315K
Link to article below. Please do you own math, but according to these scientific models the US response deserves at least an A-
