I agree with this and all of these teams have girls who can play. It’s just a matter of time to see if anyone makes a jump. Rosters are already bloated on the top teams so watch and see I guess.

Bloated rosters, less playing time, creates a tough situation for the upcoming good players in the state. Select and NEFC should be in the ECNL. We have enough talent now in our state to roster top ECNL teams in a few clubs now.

GA is on solid footing now and they hype machine has died down. In the future the best talent developers will keep their talent, at least at the GA and ECNL level. I recognize thats a broad statement, of course there will be outliers who choose not to travel or cost is prohibitive, but in general the best talent will congregate to the bigger leagues.
real talent on that team - not everyone but a handful - and they’ve stayed together for a long time, as they were mostly GPS Boston. That’s a team that will be interesting to see if it stays together entering high school this year.

Word is 2 top Aztec 08's headed to Blue. But just because the 07 thread went off the rails doesn't mean this 08 thread should avoid the truth-- it's over. Ulittle time is over. Debates are over. You pick your pathway and you takes your chances. There will probably be no more significant games between NPL and ECNL teams (few even between GA and ECNL) next spring or in the following springs. There's zero incentive for ECNL to do so-- they're shooting for national ECNL events and showcases. The baddest little team competition is over and irrelevant. If you're into rah rah team stuff cheer on the high school teams-- that's where team spirit goes now. Club is about eyeballs on individuals, invitations to national ID's, etc.. Are there players on Aztec or Bayside who can get D1 offers? Sure. It's just a different, much harder pathway (constrained by local networking-- think URI, Merrimack, or Brandeis, not Michigan or Princeton). But inter-league comparisons? Completely irrelevant now. People have chosen which horse to ride, but they're not racing each other.
Congrats to Aztec, awesome way to cap the season.
