Wow!!! Nice GA northeast league----NOT! what an f'en joke. I think this is part of the reason why select parents are so sensitive when it comes to the GA as they all know how just terrible the competition is.

What a sad sight this league is. How have any of these teams gotten NEFC or Select ready for the national GA tournament????? My guess is that they haven't.

If the GA replaced most of these teams with New England Surf, Aztecs and Bayside now we are talking about a good league but when you play Empire United, NYSC, Cedar Stars, Oakwood and Seacoast that's not good! This is like a below average league that GA has started.

Cedar Stars, NYSC and Empire are easy wins. Why would they ever be replaced? Those are great games for playing the bottom of the roster.

Empire United is a 2 hour more car ride than flying to California to play in a tournament. That seems ridiculous to play a soccer game. You could literally fly from Boston to California to 1/2 way to Hawaii from California before you made it to Empire United. something seems off.

GAL was desperate to make it look like they were growing. Since year one, when nearly a dozen good clubs dropped out of GDA, all that has been added is weaker than the clubs that have left. Absolutely no one was clamoring to add Empire back in terms if competition, let alone drive all that way for a game.

In addition it is absolutely crazy to think that 4 out of the 16 teams playing in this weekend's GA 08 playoffs are already leaving to ECNL next week so as other posters say "have money can play in GA". It's not about how good a club is for GA. It's all about the Benjamin's.
