we all agree impact is not ecnl. But can we start agreeing that impact level is not much different than ga with less travel.

Look at 2010 Bayside tourney results. SSS GA 7-0 over Bayside's best.

Look at Stars cup. GA teams in premiere. Where are Impact teams?

Stop deluding yourself. NPL Impact is third tier at best. Desperate local clubs who finally admitted they'll never compare with ECNL or GA, so they rebranded themselves. But it's still lipstick on the pig.

Select's 08 GA beat both Stars Blue ECNL and Scorps ECNL to win the Bayside tourney. Bayside with a strong performance tying both Stars and Scorps after a win over Select.

U little chump….2010 is not in impact yet. 08 and 09 proved they can compete with best.

Good weekend of soccer. Each team will be better for it as we head into stars cup. A lot of talent spread across the 4 teams. Ironic though that select loses to bayside Friday night but end up winning the group even though bayside did not lose a game. Last 5 minute goal by select against scorps and literally last second goal to tie by stars against bayside. Fun to watch.

Is this the go to tournament for preseason now? Lineup seemed legit 100%. What a comparison difference to the nefc event for top level competition.

08 parent here. There were definitely some talented girls out there this weekend, many of them were 09’s. Select and Stars both have talented 09’s. Select is a different team with their 09(s) on the pitch. Also Scorpions is much improved from the fall. Stars Blue will be a very good team but they are not ready for prime time yet. Great to see all the local talent. Parents mostly behaved themselves as well!

Move the goalposts from "preseason" (which would include this weekend's Stars Cup) to "pre Labor day," and the kick goes right through! 3 points Bayside!

Ironic .no . You need to win to win ! We got last second goal but you got last minute goal . When do they not count as much as the other one (or not be considered lucky) ? How about goals scored in the 30-40 minute times are worth 2. Stupid comment always about when they are scored or how good or cheap or lucky .

The only stupid comment is yours. There was no reference made to being "cheap" or "lucky". Of course, Select was on top and deserved to win the trophy. The irony is that the team that lost the first game of the tournament ended up winning it. How many Select parents would have predicted that as they drove back to the south shore on Friday night?

And little old Bayside keeps chugging along even after losing a couple key players to scorpions the past two years. Credit to PB for putting together a good tournament and having his team ready to play.
