You must be confusing it for another conference. It’s the strongest D3 soccer conference in the country.

I just read it too. I’m so sad that they’re already making this call. Really sucks for the seniors.

And to the other poster... NESCAC is best D3 for most sports and allows for a great college experience without having to give up everything else for a sport.

Yes it’s unfortunate that NESCAC admin is more than likely top heavy with old professors.Way to think of the kids.

If you think D3 college sports requires no sacrifice on the part of the student athletes you are ill informed. There will be no D3 sports until 2022 anyways.

The NCAA had announced a 5th year of eligibility for spring athletes who got screwed out of their spring seasons. If fall sports collapse I would expect the same. Only thing is if you decide to continue with the academics you're probably not going to stick around just to play unless you do grad school at the same school

Taking a gap year might sound appealing, but what's the plan for the year? Where are going to work or volunteer or travel? It seems like most schools are doing the already over-used term "hybrid" - some in person, some on line. No professors or students are being forced back into the classrooms if they don't want to be. But most college kids are anxious to be back with their friends, even if that means taking some classes on line from dorms or apartments. Staying home kind of sucks, but for some families it's financially necessary to save on housing

It sounds like some of the "elite" schools are forcing students who want to sit out 2020-21 to reapply. One of my kids' schools is hinting that reapplications will be viewed favorably, but maybe not until 2022-23 academic year. In other words, "if you want your brand name degree, don't think you can take a year off and grab some credits at local State U and then just show up when Covid is gone. We want ALL of your tuition money..."

Not worth $70k. Wait until other New England LACs bring students back. I can taste the entitled Bowdoin tears already.
