No public transportation means fewer cases.

Public transportation has been a huge source of the spread.

Airlines, subways, buses, taxi, Uber etc.

If NYC was not so dependent on public transportation the spread would not have been as bad.

This is also a first world problem spread by the wealthy. The poor don’t travel international. They did not bring it here. The international traveler’s brought it to us. Thus a first world problem. We should address how easily people move about the world. There should be more restrictions.

Are you high? Sweden normally has 90,000 deaths per year; that’s 7,500 per month. Their outbreak started a little before ours so let’s say from mid-March to April 30 they would have 10,000 deaths under normal circumstances. Instead that had an additional 2,500 deaths, which is a 25% which is pretty f*ckin significant for such a small country!

I know of a public school that sent 200+ kids to Italy for President's Week on a pre-planned trip and did not shorten it by a single day, even as neighboring towns were instituting quarantines. 2 of the kids went to soccer practice immediately upon their return, neither got tested BUT both had MULTIPLE family members that came down with it.
