Close to 80% of one local DA roster are headed to college for soccer.

You missed the operative word “success”. Yes, more players are initially heading to college but a far smaller percentage are actually having “success” as defined by starts and perhaps simply by remaining rostered.

This might well be attributed to the false positive gps impact but I think da has some culpability as well. More to the point, of the kids who are having success, which CLUBS did they play for- that’s the ultimate barometer of preparedness and a clubs success assuming college is the end goal

Bolts D1 commits are also misleading. SM is not a recruit at UML- he may walk on but he is not recruited. and JV just joined them so Bolts are at 5.

Revs are really at 2 since JM is not a recruit at UML - he may walk on. So Revs are really at 2 D1 commits.

There is no way for the OP to know how many of the players listed are walk-ons so I’m not concerned about that. I wish there was a stipulation about the number of games played by a commit before he could be “claimed” by a club.

He was doing a PG year at Berkshire, which is in Sheffield. He’s not a Massachusetts player. There is no way his parents live here. Are there other kids on this list based on their boarding school address rather than their actual home address?

Whatever that number of games is, it has to be more than zero. These two players (JV to Bolts and MSB to Revs) joined their clubs AFTER they were already committed to their colleges So how about "zero" for the stipulation? Fair?

Of course that’s fair. It makes no sense to include those 2 with their “current” teams.
