FYI, the Revs did the same thing last year with RC to Princeton.

Yes they did. In pseudo-fairness, most clubs do that nonsense. Virtually none of their development came from the Revs. No doubt their future college coaches pushed them into DA to be ready for college ball although I'm not sure what good a few games does for you.

Too funny. Zero development prior to HS in the US, zero time with the Revs until this past April, but the Revs list him as theirs. A perfect example of all that is wrong with the Revs. Can't develop players so they acquire.

More are more D1s coming out of the prep school route than ever before. If your kid is smart-ish and you either get enough $ or can afford it? Do that route + high level club. They'll get a good education and most of those schools do a great job with college prep and guidance for the process.

On top of this DA clubs will just waiver you.

That too. Boys clubs do it because there's so many BDA clubs to club shop and not enough talent. Girls clubs do it because no one wants GDA. It's really becoming a joke.

Actually there is. The recruiting announcements by these schools are are just coming out. Some several of these players can be yanked off this list as they are not true recruits.

Very true. the op tracking all this goes back in the fall to verify rosters and then also track how much these kids are playing. There are always multiple Not on Rosters, and many not playing much or at all.

The “Revs” player headed to UNC won’t see the field next year so add him to the DNP column right now.

But that's very common for GK. Freshmen GK almost never see the field, especially a frosh on a top team. Seriously he'd have to be a rock star. Younger GK usually have to bide their time until the older ones graduate out. It sucks.

Actually it's worse than that. Often a frosh or soph GK takes over and has a stranglehold on the spot for 3-4 years. You could be a pretty GK for whatever level school you're at and never advance to a starting role or even first backup, which means not seeing the field year after year after year.

I have to ask, if your kid isn’t a keeper on the U17 or U19 USNT why would you put your kid through all this DA nonsense? Best case scenario your son MAY see the field his Junior year. What a miserable college existence.

Recruiting for GK is definitely tricky. If there were separate stats for them no doubt the transfer rates are much higher for GKs.
