The league should consider more accountability for the ref may to call tighter games and give more cards or come up with a card carryover rule. Put the pressure on the league. Your kid isn�t the only one so no reason to name specific kids on a seemingly adultish blog.

This is too funny- Thayer playing by the rules? What a joke! Their fans harass the opposing team - allowing the students to loiter behind the net.

Prediction- Thayer will be without their star freshman next year- YNT doesn�t allow their players to play high school.

The card tightening for cheap plays might be necessary. It works in DA.

Historically, they pull the plug around U17 - sophomore year. My guess is 1) they don�t want their players to get hurt playing HS soccer. 2) The players need availability to travel. Right now, the U17 team is in Uruguay.

That may be true, but if you are a top player would you want to risk an injury playing high school soccer, threatening your YNT status? Also, it would be pretty difficult to play in high school post season tournaments when you are travelling for the U17 YNT (like they are right now).

It's up to the individual

Some Players don't care about National Team,, and would rather play High School. High School is a big deal for some players,, Playing with their friends means a lot, maybe even more, than a million to one chance of playing on the US National Team.
