Milton has no chance- they have one win in league play.

Looking at the standings of the ISL, it is evident that the league is extremely uneven top to bottom. There are a bunch of top teams that play at a high level, but the last place team has not scored a goal (!) all season and is 0-8... Why is there such disparity in a league of 'peer' schools.

If they can pull off an upset against some big games coming up the may squeak in.
Coming up, Rivers, PA and BBN, anything can happen this time of year. GOOD LUCK!

The disparity comes from a variety of reasons. Some schools have restrictions which make it difficult to play in the spring. Some have Saturday classes. Some have afternoon requirements. Also some have coaches with club coneections which funnel their players to the school. An example outside the ISL is Porters. ( I did not want to point fingers at any ISL team )

Those would be MAJOR upsets. LA got crushed by Nobles team missing 3 starters and losing others to injury during the game. They will need to be much more competitive to get a result against the 3 teams listed.

Taft is 4-4-2 and has a good chance to win 4 of its last 5. That would get them in.

Strength of schedule should be a huge factor on those last couple teams fighting to get in rather than wins.
There are a couple "Class A" teams that have very weak schedules and rack up wins.
Teams like Nobles, Loomis, Choate, WA, Andover have schedules that are a bear day in and day out.

Strength of schedule makes a major difference when the coaches committee determines tournament seedings.

Good for Porter’s. Having the proximity to FSA and a coach that coaches FSA ECNL is a huge advantage Porter’s has over other prep schools. Avi recruits his Porter’s girls by waving the FSA ECNL flag. I applaud Porter’s for doing this. It makes their team stronger. This isn’t high school sports. Nepsac has no rules against it. It’s examples like this that have made the preps the schools of choice for serious student athletes.

How many FSA ECNL kids play for him? Loomis has a number of Oakwood kids and Choate shops at CFC. Just curious at how many FSA ECNL kids are there?

Porters have quite a few FSA kids but he also has some CFC ECNL kids.
Choate has quite a few CFC kids, but half of Choates roster is out of state kids that transfer to CFC when they get there. RK shops all over the country to get players.
Finding good players that have strong academics is not easy.
Some of the other bigger schools do the same. Half the work is off the field.
