Do any clubs work really well with school soccer?

Many HS coaches are involved in club soccer. Some will push their kids to their own programs or elsewhere. It's in their best interest to have as many kids playing club as possible. Doing club in the fall during HS is a recipe for injury and burnout. There's a reason there's very little club activity then.

Yes, so on that point we only offer up to U15 in fall so there is no overlap with high school, but we do overlap with middle school.

NEFC players are third rate though.

Yey OK. GPS, Black Rock and NEFC from what I have seen are better than the two Mass DA teams. Certainly at the U18/19 level and anyone is better the Revs U17 team.

CT lurker - our HS kids aren't allowed to do any club training in the fall. Zero. If you're caught your team could forfeit games you played in (and it does happen). Also for club, HS coaches that coach club aren't allowed to have more than 6 (5 or 6 I forget) of their HS players on their club team. Of course they can encourage players to play on younger/older teams at the same club too. Some HS coaches really abuse it and push kids to play at their clubs, and some will then ignore the kids that play at other clubs. Best avoided.

Agree with above that HS coaches should encourage club play but should be happy with any choices the players make (both our boys and girls team coaches push for it but most top kids are club players any way). They shouldn't be pushed to be on certain teams if they don't want to or can't afford it.
