Op does this thread every year for several years. It's a lot of work, especially when he looks at how much players are playing. It's the one TS thread truly worthy of reading - in fact it should be required reading for clueless soccer parents and over-eager HS players. Rather than thank the guy, you want it formatted to your liking? No, do it yourself

A thread where parents basically peacock and add their kids to the list is "a lot of work?"

          Long overdue.

There are many reasons for a transfer and there is no reason why a player should miss any time at all regardless of the issue. Bottom line is that, for whatever reason, the initial site isn't working out well. So....let the player leave and play elsewhere.

Right now the system 100% favors the incumbent school. This article reflects a proposed (not yet approved) step forward. I would go further. But I would stop prior to a situation where coaches are running around trying to steal players from other teams. Remember this rule applies to men's football and basketball too.

Well Chad is right on target so you might want to save him from your hell fire and damnation. This thread is everything that is wrong with club soccer. It's nothing but everyone gets a trophy.

If this thread bothers you so damn much, don't comment on it! No, everybody doesn't get a trophy, only 7.9% of high school boys soccer players play college soccer at any level.
Have you noticed that there is nobody trumpeting on this thread about how great their club is? It's just a list.

Yes it does which I think is why you won't see much else change beyond allowing it for these specific situations. It easily could turn into a free for all without limits. I also think it's a bad idea to in with a "well I can always transfer" attitude. Put a few restrictions on it so that choices are made more carefully. Things happen outside of player control they should be cut some slack. Scandals have happened across the spectrum of college sports, coaches leave or get fired...imagine anyone on Michigan State's gymnastics program right now?

There are very little transfer penalties for men's and women's soccer players. Some exist at the conference level. They don't have to sit out a season like football and basketball

Again, as I've previously explained, what this thread will show in future years is how few of these players will see significant playing time. Since you're apparently too lazy to use the search function yourself, click on some of the following:

While you're busy patting yourself on the back for clueing everyone else into reality, what you fail to realize is that everyone else on this thread is so far ahead of you that you can't even see them.

My kids aren’t in college yet, but I’ve followed this thread for a few years. There is very little peacocking (the ones that do are obvious), and why isn’t making a college team an accomplishment? I don’t get your mentality. It’s not like making a club team. It’s a much smaller pool. Ask anyone who has gone through it, and candidly the list looks impressive to me. if these kids get a shot at playing for four more years, why do you care?

I'd like to add similar - these threads are great and if anything they show how incredibly difficult it is to have a successful college career, not at all "everyone gets a trophy". I had my player read a few prior to starting recruiting to

                                1) to make he was targeting appropriate programs for his skills

                                2) to see the low probably a four year career and force him to think about what might happen if soccer went away
