They're probably better off transferring from a P5 to somewhere else than from a mid-major. A rigorous athletic/academic lifestyle isn't for everyone, for sure.

Clubs pushing kids to inappropriate programs shoot themselves in the foot - twice. They won't have a good college track record (bad for business) and college coaches stop taking their calls if they oversell players that don't work out. It's a bad idea.
