Furthermore, those two coaches (blue and white) are operating independently, recruiting and training and developing. So the results on the field over time prove out that the White teams certainly can be top tier teams and compete for Champions league. If you don't believe me go check the standings.
Not this year at 2007. New Blue coach got his pick of U14 Blue & White players for U15.

      Possible? Sure.

      Likely? Not a chance.

Other than a club's $$, there is absolutely no reason for a club to have two teams out of the same town. Zero. NONE.

All attempts to justify it mean nothing. It's a cash cow for the clubs. That's it. Stop with the campaign telling us the clubs are littered with kids from all over. There are a few, sure. There are 4x the amount NOT there. But, clubs don't care, their rosters are full. League doesn't care, since they are bent over by the clubs. Just admit it already.

How any player or parent or coach could possibly try to tell us they are on a second team, but still at the top of the pyramid, is a joke. Nothing but a joke.

I wish MA would get a 4th ECNL team. MA & RI has a population of about 8 million people. Add in a few other players from NH, VT & ME (3.2 million people combined) and the area could support a 4th team. I do agree it should be from a district geographic area (NEFC or Seacoast for example).

Look at Georgia, with a population of 10.6 million people. They have five ECNL clubs in metro Atlanta, plus Top Hat (which fields two teams per age group).

This is going to cause a problem for the club moving forward. Historically people have been happy on white because they did operate as separate clubs and many white teams were more successful than their blue counterparts. If JD has decided he is only focusing on blue and white is just paying to maintain the turf and lights people will bolt.

The worst thing to happen to NE soccer was NEFC leaving ECNL.

U14 and under is ulittle soccer.

Big girl soccer begins at U15.

From this point forward they will operate independently and train and recruit independently. They are now competitors. These teams are rivals and badly want to beat one another.

Stars was a founding member of ECNL and a big part of the leagues success. They then made the decision to walk away from the DA (before its collapse was obvious) and negotiated a second slot to do so. So after a decade of building up the league and making the correct choice to leave the DA, it’s your opinion they should just give one of their slots to another Club who did neither?

Every league is a business and operates to make money, your just mad about ECNL because they did it better and want in.

Different poster, (and an ECNL parents) but IMO MA could support a 4th club. Stars Blue, White Scorpions & _______. Argue away who that should be.

Sure, add another. But that’s not what the argument was, the argument was Stars shouldn’t have 2.

No. I don’t believe the person who posted was mad , he made sense with his/her pyramid analogy. You must be on 2nd team and just won’t face the facts. There is no shame in this . It’s simple math meeting life. There isn’t room for everyone at the top.

That’s why I prefaced it with “different poster….”

Someone should have gotten fired over that decision.

You, like him, believe that "the pool" is something that exists within the confines of a club. You think it would make a difference if a different club held a badge. I don't. I believe "the pool" is all the talent, everywhere, within a geographical territory regardless of what club the player is in today. By my definition there is no difference at all between Stars having 1 team and NEFC having 1 team OR Stars having 2 teams. Because 40 players are 40 players. It’s simple math meeting life...

                              Yes, correct.

It's about the game, not $tar$ bottom line.

Juventus doesn’t develop, they just recruit for profit. The only way some of their teams are successful is because they will field teams competitively with players from across all regions. The amount of money that they charge is ridiculous for what they actually do. Their methodology is keep the organization paid. I wouldn’t spend a dime on their garbage…

Why so many parents and players so negative on Juventus; poor past experiences make them want to warn other parents before they make the same mistake. What Juventus fears most is honest reviews from past parents who’ve seen the lack of quality coaching and poor organization!!
