In fairness, that Stars Blue team has had an awful coach for 2 years. Definitely hurt the development of those kids individually and as a team. That’s why he won’t be coaching any ECNL teams next year. Looks like very few of the current Blue players will be back next year. Not just NEFC players getting spots—players from White and SSS as well.

Post said they lost 6 girls, not that all went to the same team

I disagree. If I had a displaced ECNL player, this is the first place I’d look. You might have to travel a bit and play some weaker competition but you’re getting good training. There is no doubt about it. If the goal is to play ECNL again, where else are you going to get that kind of training?

4 to Blue, 2 to Scorps I think.

How many kids out of 19 can possibly be replaced? 10? 12? More?!

Rumor is 14/19, but nothing would surprise me at this point

5 blue, 5 white, 4 NEFC, 1 SSS and three who played up this year is 18.

That leaves 14 from blue & 14 from white, plus any players from outside of Stars, to fight it out for 18-19 spots on White. That’s 10 or so kids cut.

Does that mean some Blue cuts go to White?

The poster is talking cuts from ECNL altogether. Some Blue cuts will wind up on White, but assuming zero outside players make the team and a roster of 18, 10 girls from Stars ECNL rosters will not be playing ECNL next year. I’d say 12 is a better approximation.

Are you serious? NEFC does not have good training..you have a few great players (some of who are leaving and have left) who are naturally talented...NEFC scrimmages..that’s it...no actual “coaching” or training is done. The 08 coach is good but that’s about it. Coaches talk to each other or look at their phones. They will tell you they care but they don’t...they really don’t. Players who should not be on top teams are and there is zero accountability. Nothing has changed since we left there and it never will. They have a delusional view of their club. Glad we left and are loving ECNL. The practices are intense, the girls stay 100% focused, if you don’t work hard you don’t play and the coaching is hands on. The ECNL tournaments we have been to are compiled of some of the best teams and competition in the country. GA and NEFC will never give you that. Might suck to hear but it’s the truth...

The trick in selling the lie is to not make it such a cartoon.

You must not be at Stars. Small sided scrimmages is all you'll see at their trainings.

he's already at Stars White. He was the 1st to go!

It's not sustainable for GA teams to lose 5 players-NEFC and Select - 3 players from GA every year. By year 3 both clubs will be in HUGE trouble! This year both will feel it a little but...its the next few years that will be big problems.

If true, that means there are 3-5 ECNL players being replaced every year. Must be good players, no? Where do you think they will end up?
