I’m a Stars Blue parent. First ever post. I haven’t really met one Blue parent that I don’t like on the sidelines, but the posting here is embarrassing. I’m fine crapping all over the coach. Frankly, he’s gone out of his way to earn it. The hanging on the result of every match is obnoxious, though. All the sniping makes you sound pathetic. Let White dad get over excited and just keep quiet. Let NEFC dad be over confident and just keep quiet. Let SSS dad be overly bitter and just keep quiet. Be more like Scorpions dad. Please. I want to continue to like you people.

Will say this again. It was a great weekend of soccer. All these teams are so talented. Need more weekends like the last one.

Definitely true they will take talented players from other clubs. I assume the same is true of scorpions. But so would ANY club take talented players from other clubs. The difference, to the extent there is one, is that more players want to come to stars and scorpions once you reach HS age because of ECNL. Which is good for TS because it gives TS parents a chance to whine about how those clubs don't develop all of their players.
Under the age of 14, all about fun and development.

As far as the comment about not developing players, I don't agree. The Scorpions coach is excellent and the amount of progress the girls have made from U13 to U14 has been awesome to watch. All of our games and scrimmages are videoed. Even some of the practices. The coach marks up the videos and sends them to girls. Its been a great tool.
No complaints from me. Just my 2 cents.

NEFC, SSS, Aztec and clubs like that will continue to have good teams but by U15 the gap will continue to widen. With the pandemic ending by next fall (hopefully) and ECNL completing its expansion, the 2007 girls will be going into their prime recruiting years in great shape. I'm glad they weren't U15-U17 while the GDA-ECNL drama was ongoing.
