2007? I didn’t see either Stars ECNL regional team listed in last weekend’s tournament. Unless they played up?

Ok. But the poster before specifically called out the Stars Regional Blue team. It doesn’t look like they played. I can’t comment on that league as my kid doesn’t play in it. But there are good and bad teams in every league.

Isn't the ECNL Regional just the old NE NPL league here in the NE? It'll take a while for ECNL-R to develop into the Tier 2 league they're hoping for. It might or might not but probably not exactly fair to judge yet given it's only a couple of years old and those years are messed up by Covid.

They did in medway, pretty easy game for my daughters team and there parents seemed pretty frustrated about how the team did

I can't speak for other clubs or even other teams but the Scorpions 2007 team is split pretty evenly between kids who grew up playing at Scorpions and kids who came over at U13 or U14. But that's how ECNL works, as did GDA. Players are attracted to the platform.

As far as the comment about not developing players, I don't agree. The Scorpions coach is excellent and the amount of progress the girls have made from U13 to U14 has been awesome to watch. All of our games and scrimmages are videoed. Even some of the practices. The coach marks up the videos and sends them to girls. Its been a great tool.

No complaints from me. Just my 2 cents.

I’m not sure if you’re a Stars Blue parent, but if we’ve learned anything from that group on here, it’s that those are the two million dollar questions to ask.

Stars usually posted coaching assignments in early April, so we will see soon enough.
