Stars dad does not understand the difference between a well executed goal and a garbage goal.

Now that the Nefc tourney is posted waiting on surf dad.

One person’s view - they spend all of their time in small sided drills. They work on things like off ball movement but always in a context where there is very little space. Then they get on a real field and it takes several games to translate. Which means they get beaten by better prepared teams early in the season. Not the same team today we saw at the Fall tournament against scorpions. Then again, that was the last time they were on a full size field. Which is JBs fault entirely.

If this is the case, it isn’t translating to the field. Even in tight spaces, they have trouble finding teammates. I saw lots of heads down, kicking to an area without even looking to see if anyone is where they are sending the ball. That’s ulittle soccer and this is supposed to be ECNL soccer.

All comes down to coaching. JB is not a good coach. He has relied on recruiting good players but with this particular team he would actually have to teach them and he’s not capable of that. White team has stronger players and better coaching overall. Move blue down the list with FSA quality. So much for ECNL.

Do you cry yourself to bed at night ? Pump the brakes. Blue is filled with talented girls. As far as coaching goes - Mf does a better job with preparation. Will give you that.

Parent of an average Jane on a non-list team... when we hear about the players that have left for ECNL- all above average for sure and talented, but not always the best on the teams they have left. So this statement sounds about right...

Blue deserves to move down the list no doubt, but if you came away from yesterday’s match believing White has a stronger roster, you clearly have a parental bias. White played with much more purpose in possession and definitely appeared better coached, but they didn’t do anything yesterday that would make an observer think they are a stronger team. Outside of a great individual play to score at the end of the first half, White barely even entered Blue’s third of the field. Blue looked sloppy in the second half but handled White fine until the last 10-15 minutes or so. White seemed to identify a matchup advantage and exploited it non-stop, resulting in their second goal. It wasn’t a classic case of a better team beating a worse team. It looked like a team that prepares to succeed beating a team that thinks they can just roll a ball on a field and win. Chalk one up for preparation.

Both teams have good players, but if teams were being selected tomorrow, I don’t think they’d look that much different. For better or worse.

There are problems on Blue, no doubt. Your precious White player STILL won’t make the team. Ouch.
