Stronger ECNL clubs the better in my book

Yes... this is what it should be about. I just find it funny how ECNL dad cheers for the fall of GA without realizing the trickle up effect of ga going away

I think 75% of the 2007 players at SSS or NEFC would stay regardless of what league they play in. The 8-10 kids would go to the 3 different ecnl rosters and could be absorbed pretty easily (2-4 kids per roster). The ecnl teams will lose a player or two every year anyways based on kids choosing other sports, getting injured, moving, etc.

The whole thing is so overblown. If you are player 1-5 at SSS or NEFC you can find a spot. If are player 16-18 on an ECNL roster you have something to worry about.

Here's your first club: Is your kid a consistent, game after game starter? If not, they're #12+ and the likelihood of landing a spot on a quality ECNL team will be almost nil. If you're close to CT there's always FSA :) .

NEFC dad must be getting nervous the brackets for the Stars tournament aren't out yet so he has no idea who NEFC plays next Friday....oh wait...I forgot....the are the only top team from Massachusetts scared to play. NEFC tied Select and Surf in the fall. By definition those teams aren't "nipping at your heels." They are standing beside you. Right behind Stars Blue.
