Coaches often get stuff stuck in their head .... from what a kid was able to against peers years ago (or couldn’t do) but can never do now vs what a kid can do in practice against any cone on the field ( but you never see in a game) vs their pedigree (wow, that kid plays on NEFC ..... must be good) but they are on NEFC D team.

I realize you'll disagree. Odds are you're wrong too.

Works when the team is well managed in a good environment. Doesnt work well when you have parents exerting pressure on the club, through money or siblings, to push kids out of the way for their own kids. Last club we were at, my kid was pushed out of position because of this and at the time it was pretty surprising but then we saw the same thing happen to three other kids within the following year. All of whom were more technical and more athletic than the one who stayed. Turned out, every time the coach wanted to bring in a new player at that spot, the incumbent's parent called the DOC who stepped in to make sure that didnt happen. Only later on did other parents in the inner circle basically say they knew that was happening. Then the club acts hurt when you let them know you're leaving. It is truly amazing.
Things like that make you question your kid, so while its true it should be easy to see, sometimes there are things happening outside that really screw up your ability to just evaluate on play. For parents that are not knowledgeable about the game or have no experience, it is impossible. Then you really understand how they get taken advantage of by the clubs and trainers.

Are everyone’s seasons done at this point aside from the NEFC & SSS “friendly” events later in November?

1. let me pay the highest fees in Massachusetts by far. 1/2 year at south shore select is a full payment at her current club
2. let my daughter play with 20 other girls on the 07 team
3. let my daughter play like 3 games in the spring. This fall she has played 15 already.
Sounds like a good plan-lol. Where do I sign my daughter up?!?!
