again on this topic which for no reason has consumed a dozen posts. 07 blue scrimmaged 08 blue. that's what happened. not sure why this is an issue. are we done with this now?

They did. I watched. Keep in mind that the 08 kids are just moving to the big field for the first time. In a few months, the 08’s will be able to keep it closer.

Both NEFC 07's and 08's have easily defeated Stars over the years. If they ever play Stars White this fall both teams win by 4 goals.

You must be referencing a different game. It was a bigger goal differential by halftime and it only got worse after that. You must have a bad source.

That was exactly what happened.

omg. we are still on this. It was 10-1 and could easily have been more - 3 posts and 2 crossbars. is that what you want to know for some twisted reason. it was a scrimmage. lots of subbing and whatnot. it doesn't matter!

Here's the thing that I know is difficult for an NEFC parent to understand given how well NEFC has done at keeping its core team together - NEFC has not played these Stars teams "over the years" - not even close. The most you could say is that NEFC has played Stars Blue once - at the end of last fall and the game ended 0-0. They never played that Stars Blue team before because it didn't exist until the Fall of last year. The players on that team came from multiple other clubs and multiple Stars teams and didn't have any history of playing together before. So - and I know this is tragic for NEFC parents - the U9-U12 dominance of NEFC doesn't matter anymore. Many of these teams are just different now. And as someone pointed out earlier even the Stars Blue team going to PDA this weekend is quite different in a number of ways than the team from Stars Cup last Fall. Whether it ends up being better, a little better or a lot better than last year we won't know for awhile.

Here's the thing, and I know this is tragic for most parents, dominance at any age on any team doesn't matter. The only place it matters is for mommy's FB posts. That can easily be made up by posting the cute smile their kid has and the likes will be just as high.

No, at least 7 of them were offside, so we dont count those. The ref was terrible. Plus, half of our team had dentist appointments, birthday parties, or trips to the zoo and water park, so those kids would have helped too and we probably could have pulled one out for sure.
