Kind of tired of stupid statements like this. Can we at least wait until high school before writing them off? There are plenty of excellent players among the MA 2007s. It's very possible that any number of them could and will end up playing in college if they want, some D1 and maybe a few at great D1 schools. -

Even if a roster is close to full clubs will find room for a baller. Not so much for just another player who will be #12-22, certainly not if it meant cutting someone who is a known entity and doesn't have psycho parents.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

That bumps three players into the 12-22 group, and they become "Payers". They are there to be given minutes as per their agreement, but they don't actually offer anything for the team other than in practice. The bottom of the original 12-22 group are now out beyond that number, so they get bumped off the team completely.
The best players aren't the ones who tout their club and team. Parents in this situation know their kid is good, and don't need validation on message boards over it. Instead, it's the vocal fools who find that they are now not part of the best 11, and are in the 'Payers" group.
Or, worse, they were already in the 'Payers" group (you can usually tell these parents because they make the most comments about how deep the team is and colleges will come watch you practice, etc.), these are now out of the team completely. In the case of some clubs, they are sent to their 'Regional' team where they now spout how wonderful THAT is.Comment
