We had a conversation with him and just didn’t get a good vibe from him.

not the poster and it's perfectly fine to explore your options, in fact you should most years. things change all the time. That said, just because you like or dislike a coach shouldn't be your reasons to stay or leave. There's should be more to the decision making than a "vibe." Is a team a good fit for your player? Will her teammates, coach and competition challenge her and make her a better player? What is the situation with the club and league - will there be more or less turmoil coming up? Does participating fit into our family finances, ability to travel etc? It's ok to not like your coach also. It will happen often enough, as well having teachers, bosses and co workers you don't like. How you deal with it and decided how much you can tolerate is what matters

How can they know any of that coming in from another team, especially with lack of attending training sessions and tryouts? Maybe that is why players actually stayed out.

I could see some people being hesitant about moving given all that's going on. "Better the devil you know" kind of thing

I think at this point it’s pretty well understood that NEFC parents on the whole believe that what the club has to offer is enough to outweigh the difference in competition from ECNL to GAL. Shall we rehash it once again?

You could plug in a town coach and the results would be the same. Their new coach will get the same results.

You’re correct about game day results. As for building better soccer players, their new coach is just as good as their old coach, many would say better. Once again for the slow kids...parents and kids opting to stay at NEFC are doing so because they value what happens during the week more than what happens on the weekend.
