The Stars Blue parents are a friendly and sociable group. None of us brag about our kids or how great they are. The mom of the player that joined us in PA didn’t stop about her kid. It was a bit much, but people were kind. It was silly then, especially because we all got to see her with our own eyes. It’s even sillier now that she’s being billed as a huge impact. She was the 20th player on a roster, and mom probably should have approached it that way.

Parenting tip: if you promote your kid and their play matches you are considered obnoxious, if you promote your kid and their play doesn‘t match, you are considered delusional. If you aren’t comfortable with either of those outcomes, don’t talk about your kid.

Not for 2007s. They all have a fall season whether they are GA or ECNL.

So if its true that SSS & NEFC are bringing back close to their full squads, and Stars Blue, White and Scorpions cut the bottom of their rosters and re-loaded, its going to make for some really good games, as these teams were all pretty close last year, with the exception of the Thanksgiving massacre of Stars Blue. What was that score again?

If it's true that NEFC & SSS are bringing back most of their rosters (and, at least in the case of NEFC I believe it, SSS seems like it could be a bit of a question mark), how much could scorps and stars actually have improved? They'd already pulled from most of the other clubs to get the teams they had. Setting aside the Ginga rumblings, which is very likely BS, I'm not sure how much stars & scorps could have actually changed. Swapping out the bottom of their rosters for the bottom of some other teams' rosters isn't a big leap and bringing up some solid performers from their own clubs might be incremental improvement but not game changing. Next year may look a whole lot like last year with stars & scorps improving but mainly because their core teams have had another year together.
