This is Stars speak for we have no skill but we will be physical because we can’t develop talent. In True Stars fashion they go one step further to explain that their no skill style is what college coaches are looking for. They must have their coaches take spin classes to sell this bull. NEFC is far better than Stars, 2 Pre-DA teams in semis, Stars 1 goal for 6 against. Don’t let the facts get in the way of the truth.

Indeed, speaking with several AD's after the games, they expressed the desire for physical players and speed, it was enlightening. They also talked about skill and looking more and more overseas for that talent.

I am sure the ADs were lining up at the game waiting to talk to parents and coaches. Looking overseas for skill because local clubs can’t develop it. Colleges shouldn’t need to look overseas, the talent is there just needs to be developed. The fix is simple but will never happen because small rosters and performance based leagues don't make the money that the current set up has. Ask your coach/club how large rosters, less playing time and constant travel makes a 12 year old better. Youth soccer is one big money grab and if heating they are looking for physical and speed is refreshing you are another clueless parent or worse coach. How many bottom of the roster players (16-22) were top players on other teams, get pulled up only to get limited game time? Shame on parents for buying into that and clubs for taking advantage. The system is broken and fueled by greed.

Can a Stars parent please explain how you tied NEFC 0-0 but got blown out by a lesser team (Select) 6-1 in the span of 18 hours?

Ummmm because they struggle to score? Look at the team’s history. They have yet to score more than 2 goals in a game regardless of opposition.

That’s the right thing to do, when we came over it was all about how great a fit my daughter was and with no explanation or feedback she plays less than half of every game. How can you produce without opportunity? Then to make it worse bring in new players to make playing time harder to come by. At this point why wait the year I’m done with this mess, why can’t clubs honor the commitment they make to you?

SSS v NEFC FINAL, no sure price there.

Very close semifinal games with the SSS scorpions outside in brutally cold weather. With select controlling most of the game and scoring 1 in the second half and held on to win. Great job by all the girls

Develop

Because local players don’t have the natural skill or work ethic to acquire them...sorry to burst your blame it on the coaches bubble.

I never blamed it on coaches but the club and system are to blame. How can you develop if you don’t play? There are local players who have been successful. Plenty have skill and work ethic. They have to love the game and be in a good environment to build on that base. Clubs do what’s best for the bottom line not for the players. If you think otherwise your out of touch. How can you justify travel at U11, U12 and U13 for league games? Kids lose their weekends and spend hours in cars for what. All the talk about the teams this weekend they could all play in the same division with minimal travel. Game is no longer fun, kids lose the desire to work outside of practice because they have no free time, parent harasses child do be better so they don’t have to pay full tuition, club says this is the only way.

Give a coach more time to train players, less travel for games, smaller rosters and all the players benefit and develop more under whatever coach they are with.
