Even is so, shouldn't a B snd C from supposedly the reigions best club do better?

And how did SOL know that? Had to assume NEFC's team would be in the field for their own tournament. Plus even if SOL was considering the GPS tournament, the field didn't come together until after registration closed, as a couple of the top teams were late additions and were never on the "accepted teams list."

SPOL did this tournament so they could play NEFC Pre-DA. They have also done tougher tournaments than any of the other top teams. To say they avoided the GPS tournament because of competition is far from the truth.

Speaking of select’s second team, looks like their 2nd, 3rd & 4th 2007 teams played in this event. Combined for 0 wins, 8 losses and 1 draw. Scored 3 goals and allowed 29. That’s just atrocious.

I remember when this club use to churn out a ton of talented kids just like SPOL. I know their top 2007 team is still decent, but who is coaching these other teams? No wonder NEFC South Shore is growing so fast.

Select had their 3 bottom 07' teams there. Other 3 top teams were elsewhere. Competition was very lopsided. Same happened at CFC tourney last month. The very bottom 07 select team was seeded against NPL teams. These tournaments are just punching bags for top teams to make them look good.

Look at the 2 tournaments. The field at GPS is much stronger. NEFC pre-Da played a regular season game this weekend. There is no way that the club didn’t know that they wouldn’t be playing and I’m sure the SPOL coaches knew that. I guess when players are leaving your team mid-season, a tournament win keeps the remaining parents happy.

Actually it was SSS's 3rd, 4th and 5th teams, the pre DA and NPL are both still very good, but share a lot of players.

NEFC South Shore added a team this year in the 07 by taking a Duxbury team, but their top 07 team has been horrible. It's too bad since the coaching and training is really good.

GPS tournament is going to be fun to watch. Win lose or draw. At least many of the top teams will be there competing against each other. That’s what you want to see.

SSS has 5 teams at 07? How can you expect any below the top 2 to be any good. How far do they pull from?
