No reason to be driving all over New England to play a game. Just play within your county and have fun. You parents are crazy.
Yep, this is the same conversation in the other thread. Draw your own in the sand and allow others to do the same. For you, I assume your kid is playing Travel only???

It's silly to be driving all over like that. Some of my kid's teammates are going to a bigger club, and now we won't be as good. It's sad, and it's unnecessary.

Is there a chance to get on the 2007 Stars ECNL team? I see they are having tryouts soon.

So obviously club soccer isn't for you. Town travel is. Cool. FWIW, there are in-town rec parents out there who think driving to the next town for a game when in town rec exists is stupid. We all have our limits.

Haha, I do remember in our travel soccer days, we did the Natick tournament and all got a hotel room. Now I drive farther than that both ways to practice 3x a week. Ahhhh to be young and naive again! LOL!

No, it's silly. We don't want to do it and some teammates are buying into it. It's affecting how are team is and that's not right. It makes my kid sad.

So, I'd like to do away with all that and ensure the team sticks together.

So you are a travel team parent who has "stumbled" upon Talking Soccer where 99% of the discussion is about club/college soccer. Ok troll, move along now.

You're joking? No one should want to play at a higher level because your kid doesn't want to? Everyone should play town travel?

I never said where we play, or why I am here.

I thought this was a discussion board and I am free to discuss and reply as I wish. Is that not true?

Guys. It's Mr. DA trying to prove a point. Let him have his fun. I mean, he's gotta have something to do while his lil star is practicing!

It's unnecessary is what I'm saying. Kids can get all the exercise and enjoyment all within a few miles, no need to be driving all over the Commonwealth.

                        Crazy.

We are not a part of DA. Not sure what you mean?

I just think all this travel is silly and it breaks up the teams. It's supposed to be about teamwork, right?

These clubs ripping players from the rosters is just ruining the experience for us.

Except no one said that... awkward when your big point kind of fails.

So, wait, are you saying we aren't allowed now to think the travel for these kids is crazy, and we are not allowed to comment on it?

                                This place is so confusing!
