    Love it. Keep it up List Guy

    - Rising U13 List Guy from 3 years ago

    Here’s Updates since 7th grade 2015 - 2016 when soccer was fun
    8th Grade brought Birth Year girls split across 02 and 03
    9th Grade comes DA splinter. HS loyals to the left, NT hopefuls to the right.
    10th grade brought Soccer Jerry Springer:
    Stars pull out of DA, Go All In on ECNL and have twins;
    Breakers pass out, NEFC jumps in like Anthony Michael Hall on Jake’s girlfriend;
    Scorpions divorce FCB, they’re Girls Only now;
    SSS gets freaky with DA, they’ll be hard core next season;
    Aztec, remember them?
    GPS stays relatively stable, nice khakis.

    Interestingly, MTOC results foretold HS championships

      How nice would it be (soccer wise at least) to live someplace like VA with mild winters? If I move south of the Mason-Dixon Line am I a “southerner?” I need an official ruling on that.

      Anyways, here’s the best MA girls 2007 recap you’ll read all week.

      1. NEFC Pre-NPL

      The baddest little team in the land played up in the top U13 bracket at the NEFC tournament and held their own. Yeah 2L & 1D isn’t what they were hoping for, but only -2 GD shows how competitive the games were. Would any of the other list teams have fared better? Yo creo que no. (That’s Spanish)

      Next game- NEP season 4/6

      2. Spirit of Liverpool

      SOL was the most impressive team this weekend. Played top bracket at Jefferson Cup and went 1-1-1 in three razor thin games (2-2, 2-1, 1-2). Nicely done. Just might give NEFC a run for their money come June.

      Hey Liverpool dads, I think the girls earned a trip to Fenway next weekend. (No the Sox aren’t playing).

      Next game- NEP season 4/6

      3. FC Stars Pre-ECNL

      Played some tough games in VA against Cleveland Royal (OH), SJEB (NJ) & Lehigh Valley (PA). 2L & 1D is tough, but all three games were competitive. Still, SOL faired better in a tougher bracket, so these two flipped places, at least for now.

      Next game- NE NPL v. Scorpions 3/30

      4. GPS Boston

      Big mover of the week. I called a finals appearance and these girls delivered. 2W & 1L got them out of their bracket, where they eventually fell 1-0 to a strong Pipeline team. Congrats on the finals appearance. Can they give SOL & NEFC a run in the top premiership bracket? We shall see.

      Next game- NEP season 4/6

      5. South Shore Select AP

      2L & 1D with a -8 GD was a tough way to spend the weekend. Not much more to say than that.

      Next game- Select tournament 3/30

      6. Scorpions Pre-ECNL

      Played three tight games, ending up with 1W & 2L (-3 GD). That’s all you can ask for at a tournament like Jefferson Cup.
      Not much time off as NE NPL games against next year’s fellow ECNL teams are right around the corner.

      Next game- NE NPL v. East Meadow 3/23

      7. Open, for now.

      As the saying goes, “results move the list.”
      I’ll be back before the start of the NEP season in early April. Until then, whoever is triggered by “the list,” let the outrage flow.
      Nice to see some Mass teams show well in such a big tournament.

          Everyone excited for the season to start and sick of indoor. Looks like schedule says first game kicks off this weekend for some teams

            Indoor?

            That still a thing?

                That’s my point. Are any of these children playing futsal or is playtime still being held at indoor rinks?

                  Very few places even have boarded play within central mass outside of Best FC building and the run down Hab which is towny league. Over 80% of teams who play futsal that we have seen don’t play actual futsal they just play regular soccer on a small court and miss the intent which is ball control, footwork, etc - all that being said futsal is awesome. Can be frustrating for the parents because games are small sides which means less playing time for everyone

                    Agreed. Most clubs are new converts to futsal since USSoccer mandated it.

                    I was hoping the superstars referenced on this thread were getting true futsal training, not soccer on a basketball court for their playtime.

                          I agree. It's a total bitc4 to try to do your FB check-ins for the dahhhling's game when you are too bundled up.

                          Springtime is sideline selfie season!!

                            Scorpions ECNL tryouts on May 6-7th, wondering how many DA club kids will actually move? Technically they have another year before NEFC or SSS plays DA, but if you are going to make the jump this year makes more sense.
