Both teams play the same schedule. The choice between blue & white really comes down to where you think your kid is going to develop more. There are many factors that go into that (coach, teammates, playing time, position, practice schedule, coach, etc).

I can’t really argue with this. I think the addition/subtraction of a few players can really swing things. It’s unfortunate that these teams will hardly ever play each other as they are in three separate leagues.

At most we can expect 1-2 games per year of each ECNL team playing the 2 GA teams. I bet Aztec never plays any of them as they don’t play many tournaments and wouldn’t get in the top two brackets at Stars Cup even if they showed up.

Why can't a couple B and C players improve? Maybe they worked hard last season, or got a big growth spurt this year. Should be the same way A players can't think they have a guaranteed spot from now till college.

Maybe they got to be stars on their B or C teams and became far better soccer players and leaders over that year or two than players 12-20 on the A team!

It seems as if everyone thinks that these clubs are developing players. You take 18 to 22 kids and treat them all the same and train them all the same and you think that’s developing kids? The kids that we all say are developed are the kids putting the work in outside of their club. Us as parents are the biggest suckers investing 10s of thousands of dollars for **** training. If a club is successful it’s not because of developing players and coaching its because they have the best athletes. Coaching in America is a joke!

Training, communication, confidence building, and length of leash are vastly different for the coaches favorite 2 or 3 than for the rest of the team. If they all got treated the same, great stuff would happen .... as it is now, seems like many coaches keep their fingers on the scale for their favorites and hold back the rest to make sure the outcome matches.

Serioysly. The kids who do the best are the couple pets who never worry about making a mistake. They can take all the risks and lose the ball over and over, but the successes will come and build. How often are they a coach's kid or the club presidents kid? Other, very talented kids are told they have to compete for time and so they many times get scared to mess up and become less effective. That's not development and it is a travesty that parents are asked to pay for it. These coaches are all to a man, total hacks.
