2005 parent here. That's not a good thing. At this age you should be adding/subtracting at least 2-3 kids per year. If you're not, the team is stagnant. Despite what the clubs preach, recruiting keeps the teams strong.

Not surprising NEFC & SSS can't attract new strong players in this GAL league.

Not sure if anyone actually thinks that. Well, some probably do but not me. I’m also factoring in the fact that there were no clinics or tryouts this year so movement from NPL for example would be harder and the fact that much of the speculation around big improvement for the ECNL teams was because of DA ending. The DA migration doesn’t seem to have happened. So, the team to team migration appears to be more “normal” than unusual this year which I think means less change than some seem to believe and it wouldn’t surprise me if the top teams from this year look much the same next year with some tinkering. But I guess we will find out soon enough.

The movement is not over. While 90% of the teams may be locked in these coaches will be working out kids who want spots in the next few weeks. Teams can rise and fall with the addition/subtraction of 2-3 good players.

If that’s the case, why haven’t NEFC and SSS moved up players from their NPL teams, and left their rosters pretty much the same? Stars and Scorps were banking on movement from GA teams, sorry that didn’t work out so well for either of you. You may carry the ECNL badge, but your product sucks.

It has happened at the 2006 and up ages. 2007 will be next. Then 2008.

Yeah ok, have fun in GAL and paying $1,500 more than anyone else.

Not exactly true. Club works on a pool system consisting of players in the top teams. They are adding players every year. Game rosters and play time are not guaranteed but earned. It's far from stagnant. It's a little harsh for some but it mimics real life and the realities of playing as they get older.

“Pool system.” Ahh yes. The Select way.

Says the guy paying for their kid to play in the GAL now which is weaker than the NEP NPL. Good luck.

Example A of why Select can charge $4k+. Pure stupidity.

The pool system is horrible and pretty much every parent and kid hates it. This is a tough year to move but next year people will be leaving in big numbers from Select. Lots of parents have voiced their opinions about the pool system not being fun and taking away the team aspect of the sport. They just say fall in line or leave. One day they will look around and everyone will have left.

Pool system, not knowing which team you are on week to week, $4k tuition, playing in GAL, dealing with LL, poor coaching. Where can I sign up for that?

Sounds like they'll have lots of openings as long as your check clears.

Hold up a minute. These kids aren’t on a set team? They can bounce from level to level?
Cant believe people put up with that. SMH.
