I am sure a few of the top 3rd GDA players can be coached up to compete on the mid to lower 3rd of the ECNL rosters. Probably not so much after U14.

HaHa total nonsense. NEFC and SSS 2007 preDa teams would destroy the other top ECNL teams in Ma. Just look at their game history for the last year or so.

There are a few NEFC castoffs on these ECNL teams. The 2006 and 2007 NEFC DA teams as a whole are much stronger than their ECNL counterparts.

But in all seriousness I doubt the ex-DA team will end up in the NEP as we know it now, once the dust settles.

I would make only one modification to this and it would be to replace the word "yourself" with "the coach of the top team". Unfortunately, a parent's answers to these questions have a way of not exactly matching how the club might answer them.

Not the OP, but I know of at least two players who opted to play on a Regional team vs. an ECNL B team because the coach is an azzhole.

You do realize that the scores will all be 0-0 until spring 2021 right? There’ll be no influx of talent due to no games. ECNL or NPL or DPL or whatever aren't immune (no pun intended) to the Coronavirus. There is no one rushing to leave their “DA” team for ECNL because people are thinking it through and will be patient. The whole world is changing which means soccer as well. Just heard that several colleges are notifying their students to prepare for online classes until January of 2021. This whole thing about families bull-rushing their way to a new club (ECNL or otherwise) is crazy. As bad as these ECNL clubs want to improve by trying to absorb DA talent it’s just unrealistic to think that players and families are making that leap with so much uncertainty in the world. No one is going to want to travel as much even when the games come back. If a club agrees to take your son or daughter during all this without a tryout than it’s obvious they’re after one thing and one thing only. You’re money.
People don’t panic. Let this all play out. Your children will be playing the sport they love again when all this is over.
