PDA is really about showcasing HS kids. The quality of Jeff Cup competition goes down after U14 because the better players and teams are in leagues that give them good college exposure.

Think the poster was referring to the level of 2007 competition.

I could go on and on. Can’t wait for June.
Did you not know the structure of the program when you signed up?

And you thought SSS would change their ways once in the DA. SSS has been doing this shell game since LL took over. She preaches family, club, loyalty, girl power but when it come down to it all she cares about is winning at all cost. Why wait for June, local clubs have open tryouts now. We left for Scorpions and they only charged us for the kit and a small fee to join. Well worth the switch and peace of mind. We actually train with a college coach and they actually run the sessions, not a random coach because they don't have enough to go around. The grass is greener on the other side and so happy we left when we did.

Kudos for making the switch. The hardest part of this journey is realizing when you aren't at the right level and to take a step back. There's no shame in it, and in the long run the player will be better off for it.

LL is a scumbag. Her club won’t last. Better off at scorpion or FC Stars south shore

What exactly makes it a step back?

They way I understood it, player was a having a hard time in a competitive environment and was welcomed easily into a new club with minimal effort. New club must be in a lower environment/desperate to take a player mid-year like that. Quality clubs have rosters locked.

Such a douchey statement filled with assumptions and your own need for validation through your child. Or you are a bitter LL.

Even the baddest team in all the land added a player midseason last year. Stars, Scorpions, and SSS have done so this year. So, which ones are quality?

Ouch, not LL. Not even sure who that is.

The basic reality of the game is if you are a good player, clubs don't want to let you leave.

If you are a good club, there should be no room for in-season additions.

I was welcoming the child for going to an opportunity that appears to be a better fit for their existing level. More parents should do the same vs. chasing a particular patch.

I can think of five 2007 players off the top of my head who switched from one top list team to another mid season to or from SSS pre-DA, NEFC pre-DA, Scorpions ECNL National, Stars Blue ECNL National & SPOL. All quality players. All mid season moves.

Happens all the time. Most of these teams keep an open roster spot in their back pocket in case one of these kids jumps, for whatever reason.

Exactly. Good on the family for finding a better fit, and perhaps it is a step down, but that is not necessarily true.

If a top player is unhappy, it doesn't matter if the club doesn't "want to let you leave". Based on your theory that a "good club" has no room for in-season additions, that would mean SSS pre-DA, Stars ECNL, Scorpions ECNL and NEFC pre-DA (all have added players mid-year over the past 2 years) are not good clubs. Which "good club" does your kid play for?

                                "Quality clubs have rosters locked."

Any of the 2007 list teams, even if their roster is at 18 kids, is taking one of the top end players in the state (whoever they are) if one of those type kids comes knocking mid season. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
