It was arrogant. NAL is a terrible league for girls. MK’s 2007s had a total of 6 league games, only 4 of which happened. The 2008s just demolished everyone. 3Step and SC are arrogant and think they know best. Glad to see those teams find better homes.

Both join an already bolstered North Shore region which includes newly appointed Girls Academy Navy Director, Neil Stafford.
Set to commence his role in the upcoming 2024-25 season, Keita will oversee Girls teams in the North Shore region while also taking on the mantle of Girls Academy Navy Staff Coach. His wealth of experience and stellar track record in player and team development promises an exciting era for NEFC's female athletes.
Keita's journey in soccer commenced early on, marked by his standout performance for the U14 Guinea National Team Youth Academy. His illustrious playing career includes stints with the University of Rhode Island and professional teams in Germany, such as Ismanning and 1860 Munchen, before gracing the pitch with the New Hampshire Phantoms. Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Keita's tenure at Aztec Soccer Club as junior girl’s director and technical director witnessed three NPL championships secured within five years.
Beyond his coaching exploits, Keita is the founder of Skillz Check Soccer Academy, a North Shore-based program providing year-round camps and clinics aimed at nurturing soccer talent across all ages and skill levels. Committed to inclusivity, Keita collaborates with local community groups and town programs to ensure soccer opportunities are accessible to all aspiring players.
Joining NEFC alongside Keita is Winston Haughton, assuming the role of Girls Academy Navy Staff Coach. Haughton, renowned as the Coaching Director and Co-Founder of Elite UK Soccer Training, LLC, brings decades of expertise in player development, honed through his tenure as Regional Director at Aztec Soccer and various coaching roles spanning competitive club soccer, collegiate women's teams, and men's semi-professional setups. Haughton's accolades include being named New Hampshire Soccer Coach of the Year in 2017, a testament to his prowess in cultivating talent.
Haughton's soccer journey began in England, where he distinguished himself as a Youth School Player with Aston Villa and later as a semi-professional player in the English Midlands Combinations League. Armed with a degree with Honors in Business and Sports Studies from the University of Wolverhampton, Haughton brings a holistic approach to player development, blending technical expertise with strategic insight.
NEFC eagerly anticipates the dynamic impact Keita, Haughton and previously announced Neil Stafford will bring to the Girls Academy Navy.
Did NEFC change it from White to Navy already? That was quick?!

Probably didn’t want people to think of Stars White.

Just funny how it took them to announce it to figure it out.

Everyone can see you’re just a dirtbag trying to stir the pot, but you have zero to back that up with. As of now Red is a little better than Aztec.

I assume this is alluding to the rumors of MK taking his talented teams over to nefc north shore. Why isn’t this public information? It seems like a big deal in our little soccer bubble. The only “confirmation” is the text of a generic email. When will this be announced?

Teams that give up 9 goals in one game at Jefferson cup won’t be in Mendon either. :-)

Well I am sure it means the top players go but the end why would 07s go unless they are 2026s…it’s kinda useless. I am sure his teams will be the foundation but reality is NEFC will also make sure some NEFC Maine kids, top dpl kids are given a chance and if he can pickup a top player to two from seacoast.

They beat your little team 5-1.

NEFC Maine kids? They don’t even have any teams yet. And are offering U9-12 age groups… hope you are not relying on them!!

No one cares about showcases. Ask blue parents. It’s their go to line when they lose.
