    As predicted so far.

When your daughter commits do you need to go back to ECNL/ECRL team for senior year? I’d love to save more for tuition

I won't speak for all, but my D's coaches continued to watch her play through her post-commitment year. If you aren't playing, where will your daughter be playing to keep improving, getting themselves ready for the fall season?

          Obviously.

Yes play, but realistically you could have a “conflict” for a tournament you have to travel for to save a few grand.

Nico did. And blew out her knee. Poor kid.

make choices that further your goals. not the clubs

Absolutely. But, there are also less of them which isn't ideal for the mixed-age groups.

I mean, I know who she is as my D played against her pretty much her entire career, but not sure how many are on a first-name basis with her....

But, these choices are not about the club, it's about the player. Dropping anchor 6, 8, 12 months between commitment and arrival will set you bet noticeably.

If you're not going to play in a team you better be able to explain why to your future coach and have a concrete plan for training, workouts etc. Most kids are going to want to play anyway. Last time with long term friends and teammates and they're competitive by nature

                        SSS U11 AP
                        Spirit of Liverpool Elite
                        GPS Boston Elite Red

Will FC Boston, FC Stars, Aztec or Valeo have teams who can keep pace with the top four?

First action for these teams will likely be at FC Stars Labor Day tournament with the NEP season starting the week thereafter.

                        Who ya got?

To be fair, look back at a Patriots or Red Sox team from that year. Think about all the time we invested into those teams and players. Touting their strengths and victories as if they were our own and scouting their competition to see how ‘we’ stacked up. We talked about the Patriots at work, we talked about them at parties, we set aside parts of our weekends to watch them. We watched personal interest stories as if we knew these people. If you think too hard about it, all sports are stupid. But it’s fun and it gave us something to talk to our friends about. Can we take it too far? Yes, just like when we have a visceral reaction to a Steelers fan.

It was a fun ride. I hope all your kids success as they head off to college next year.

It was no more or less stupid than any other thread here. It was parents TALKING SOCCER about the age group their kids played in at the time. 6 years later and some of you still haven’t learned that if something doesn’t interest you, you simply don’t need to engage with it. Talk about stupid…

So you are comparing a life-long love of a sports team made up of professional athletes to little kids soccer?

                                Soccer in America, everybody..............
