Second, no one plays ENCL without wanting to play in college so I sure as heck hope they’re successful. What % of “everyone else” is trying to play in college and what % of THOSE meet their goals? That’s the only question.
I should know by now how ECNL parents just cannot understand this but not everyone who plays club soccer cares to play in college. And not everyone cares to play D1. Some kids have completely different goals for themselves that have NOTHING (gasp!) to do with soccer. They can still love the game and give it all their time but still be ready to move on to new things after HS ends. It doesn’t mean they were unsuccessful. They just chose differently.
How about this? Ask your DAUGHTER (not yourself) what her goals are for soccer and then see if she’s in the league and club that’s best suited to help her. That’s the only measure of success that matters. Not these STUPID lists and jabs and comparisons.
But most of all, the first sentence. Shut up with the obnoxious ECNL comments. It’s EXACTLY why your kids walk around with giant targets on their backs.
