Are you insane? Probably the team that connects the most passes in the entire league. Sure they can play direct when the situation calls for it. Cheap shots like this are just that, cheap.

New England conference sends two teams through to the final 16. Not too shabby. WCFC rolls through easily and SUSA with a big win over PDA. Our friends from the Nutmeg state sadly left their game back home.

New England Conference showing its depth as well with Scorpions in final of Showcase cup A, and the Scorpions regional team winning through to finals at that level too. 2007 is a strong age group in these parts!

there are "lower level" (participation trophy) showcases held in parallel to the National Playoffs/Champions League. You can win and keep playing. It's a good setup since it's done at the same time and place as the Nationals so coaches can still view players on teams that didn't make it (and they absolutely do) . I think there are like, 3-4 different "playoffs" held.

It's a decent enough way to ensure games are competitive. Summertime showcases can lack initiatives otherwise. Of course, some coaches then take it overboard in their effort to win a low-tiered Showcase and haul a kid across the country so they can ride pine. (You know who you are....)
