You act as if that kid might not be an entitled little snot with a curated resume paid for by mommy and daddy. I’d be a hard pass on some journeyman that made questionable life choices. Thanks for playing though.

Not the poster and I don't begrudge someone pursuing their dreams. But unless they also finished their degree and had st least one internship?; there's 20 other recent grads that do for the same job. If they go back and get their degree then we can talk. Two years out what matters is what they did on the job. The rest are bullet.points at the bottom of the resume

[QUOTE=Guest;n4245451]Did you see the performance this weekend against philly… it is worth watching!
          U15 & U17 lost
Not sure what our new academy head is teaching them…[/QUOTE

losing to Philly 3-1 and 2-1 is not a bad result. Philly is a very strong team and their U17 team beat the Red Bull’s who are usually always strong.

I watched the U17 game. I thought REVS were the better team. Better possession. Would have bet Philly Union's 2nd goal was off sides. But I have grown to know the ref is human and sees what he sees. Good luck to them. Let's Go Red Sox!

wow. Looks like the Revs academy boys have shut down all naysayers. What a day - success all the way -

Funny what a difference hiring staff that gives a crap can do. They waited far too long to shake things up. Many opportunities lost

does seem like some good changes, but let's face it - this whole board is dead since the "upgrade"

Maybe, but if they're making $100,000 or more at age 18, they're at least $400,000 ahead of the college grads in 4 years. Why bother with a degree if their salary continues to rise?

Soccer has one of the shortest professional career spans out there. At some point, soccer ends and injuries are the fastest ways to end it. Of course not everyone is college material and some non college grads find a decently successful path in life. But statistically the typical college grad will make more in a lifetime than not. If that player making 100K for say 4-6 years doesn't blow it all, they can afford college and will graduate without the student debt many grads have these days. win/win

The old guy should be taken to court -- mainly because the "academy director " was so incompetent in everything he did. What a waste. Who'd he sleep with to have had that position? for sooooo looooong.

My my, you obviously don't actually know how difficult it is to make it in Europe. You really, really don't know.

For there to be a director that cared you needed ownership that cared. No way ownership was spending any more than the required minimum necessary by edict.

Will the success of the 1st team completely scuttle the chances of the homegrowns to move up? Look at poor Scott Caldwell. He's been on the Revs forever and he barely played more minutes that me.

The Revs U14 team has now lost to Juve IFA and Valeo. They really need to make some changes.
