Most likely they'll play all for years, unlike D1. They'll have a more a balanced college experience too. D1 isn't for everyone. Nothing wrong with that but for the D1 snobs who feel the need to always rub others noses in it. Any kid playing in college has worked hard for that goal and should be congratulated.

D1 bench at Beavis and Butthead State vs. playing at top tier D3 is not comparable, especially if your child will go to grad school. Congrats to B&B State if that was your goal.

He was probably talking about those "low income" students who don't care about college.

Real nice group of parents over there at the Revs.

In case it is lost on you I wasn't praising D1 over D3. I totally agree playing D1 at some low level school for $8,000 a year isn't worth it. Not every D1 program is that great form a soccer standpoint either. But some families have a elitist attitude when it comes to D1. Great for the kids that can accomplish it and come out the other side with a positive experience. Statistically that isn't always the case. D3 can be just as rewarding albeit a different kind of experience. There is no right or wrong, just whatever is best for each student athlete.

                  You're just plain dumb then

Kids are turning down the Revs these days. They're smart.

Yes, kids are turning them down b/c word is out that you get what you pay for. Barely 3 practices a week, mid season coaching changes, mid season roster changes. No team dynamic. Unless you're the next Diego (and odds aren't in your favor) they have zero interest in developing good soccer players. Pay to play DAs are more invested in their players than the Revs, and if you're really good DAs will waive or reduce fees if you really can't afford it.

And don't make me laugh with the "lower income on the Revs". Yes it's free, but swing by the field house parking lot any Tues/Wed/Thurs evening and count the Ranger Rovers, BMWs, Mercedes, Audis. The crappy cars with all the dents belong to the coaches. . . No parent with multiple kids and possibly multiple jobs is going to haul their kid out to foxboro for a pathetic hour & a half training around rush hour/dinner time. Just not happening.

Looks like the Bolts coaches have nothing better to do again today?

Think if they wave their hands enough, no one will notice that they are charging $500 for pre-season DA practices at AB lower fields, on-top of the already huge jump in fees

$10.50 an hour for 48 hours of training.

Then why are many jumping ship from Bolts to join Revs?
