Bound for Indiana and far away from this cesspool of a situation. I'd take a players heart and soul over his rights.

Why would he be training with the Montreal Impact? Unless he planned to attend their high school academy system?

For your kid, it's a "process.." In other words, he can sit on the bench until they process the chosen ones.

Unable to contain much less tackle is not the best skill set for a 'defender' lacking offensive skills. Hiding behind skilled mids won't last next year when he's asked to play up.

He's made a few good saves this past year, but that's his job as a left back. I don't get the 'exceptional' talent part. What is it? Dribbling? Shooting? Passing? Long balls? What did the scouts see?

I've only really seen the first halves of the U13 games, which he plays, so does the real magic happen the second half? Any videos of his exceptional talent taking place?

It sounds like if the Revolution wanted to be quite spiteful, and based on their actions I'd say it very possible, they can chose to never let Rennicks play in the MLS by just ignoring him or any offers for him. Why anyone would play for the Revs after reading this story is beyond me.

Like they shunned Felix De Bona after he left for Malaga's Youth academy. Never to be considered or heard from again. The Revs youth director has similar leadership qualities as Phillippine president Duterte. That guy is just in the wrong business.

                      Could be Ruben's twin.

A crumb, too little too late for him.

Speaking of Homegrown rules and De Bona, he is playing in Finland for Ekenäs IF. He was listed as being eligible for the 2017 MLS draft so there is some indication that the Revs won't try to lock players in if they aren't interested in them.

they definitely aren't interested in my kid so we will do whatever we want as far as outside training and whatnot.

This is a long thread, but wanted to know what the NE Rev academy training is like from a coach and culture standpoint. Why do they have such a small roster at U18? Just wondering for down the road. Do a lot of players quit? Do they have affinity to current players or do they bring in players from outside displacing players each year.

The fact that it is such a long thread filled with not so nice things about the Revs should tell you a great deal. Sometimes free still has costs.
